And contrary to local opinion at the time, I thought the blockbuster deal with the Red Sox was a disaster because of the inclusion of Carl Crawford. I have no idea how it played in Beantown, but their fans should've been dancing in the streets.
WOOOOO free taco!
the luck factor is overplayed. They should have never sent Prince Fielder in that situation, or just about any similar situation. Terrible decision by the 3rd base coach, even if the play at the plate was pretty close.Ok, I saw a bit about the promotion. Are we going to the local TB and just ask for a free taco?
Darn, Giants had all the lucky bounces (yesterday at third base and today fault ball became fair rolling slowly).

As for Blanco's bunt, it was never foul. Laird made a judgment call to let it roll but it stayed straight. Oftentimes, when the ball goes from the narrow dirt to grass, it'll then veer foul. It's not a bad decision but he could've picked it up and taken the out at 1st. It's a 50/50 snap decision.
Finally, Leyland basically allowed Smyly and Dotel to give up the insurance run. I didn't like their bullpen decisions at all, but admittedly relievers are their Achilles heel.
These weren't necessarily "breaks" but who knows how else the game could've played out if the Tigers had scored early.
