Well, Giants just blanked the Tigers 2-0 to win game 3. Giants are up 3-0 in the series. Tigers morale level has to be at rock bottom right now.

Another great pitching dual between the SPs, but Vogey just got the run support like Bum did last night. When they sent in the freak, it's game over pretty much.

Tigers fans have seen this all season. Lack of scoring and a ton of players left on base. The back end of their lineup just can't sustain the scoring and now Miggy is cold.

If they can only keep the pitching up next year things could be so much better. V-Mart as designated hitter and see ya later Delmon Young. And see ya later Jhonny Peralta. You think there's a range-y SS that bats .300 out there that'll come to a possible world series contender for $16m/yr. (Peralta+Young)?

this is my beef with the playoff and world series as they are currently. these guys play during the summer when the weather is warmer and the ball goes better. they then make the playoffs only to have the weather change and get colder where the ball doesn't go as good and hitters can not hit as well.
i think the season needs to be shortened and have the playoffs start in September not October, this way teams that win with good offense are not punished by the weather like i feel the tigers are being punished.

probably the reason SF does so well in post season. ATT park is hard to hit homers in general and the weather is windy and chilly as hell even during summer.

Yeah, that's also why the Giants sucked hard in the warm weather of Texas in 2010

that doesn't make sense.

warm weather hurts no one. Giants are simply (perhaps) more conditioned to playing in chillier weather and a tougher ballpark.

it doesn't suddenly become harder to hit when you play in a ballpark that makes hitting easier.

Well, why didn't the rangers hit then? Everyone is making it out that magically all teams giants face have some sort of a curse on batters, and it has nothing to do with excellent giants pitching.

It's like if you make them hit off of tees they will hit themselves into a no-hitter

Btw, I don't imagine Detroit has warmer average weather compared to SF.

no one is denigrating the giants pitching, just saying that batting wise SF tends to depend less on making HRs because they play regularly in more adverse conditions at home and therefore have to find different ways to score.

the real question is if cold weather is such a determining factor, then how do teams train for it.

Current detroit weather: 44f. Current San Fran weather: 65F.
Quit your retarded bitching, avg temp in summer SF is around 70-75F which is really perfect for sports. (avg detroit summer is 73F).
The real question, is how to train for hot weather, that has adverse effect on many pitchers like strasburg, lincecum. Cold weather argument is really bullshit, unless it's like 35-40F, which never happens in summer SF.

Yea, temp in 70's is A FUCKING ROOM TEMPERATURE btw.

Omg, how to train atheletes for weather they spend 99% of their life in
