Why running backs won't look the ball into their hands and instead turn and look upfield before they catch the ball is beyond me. It happens with such regularity.

I think it's just twitch conditioning native to the position. They are used to having to react immediately, and it's usually their feet that do the reacting. Not their hands. Just think of the mechanics and assesment they have to do when taking of a handoff compared to what a receiver has to when a long lob is coming in over their shoulder. Two incredibly different skill/mindsets at play there.

RB is all eyes on the field and WR is all eyes on the ball.

Griffin tore his ACL while playing at Baylor in 2009, and Shanahan said sometimes an old injury can cloud the results of an MRI.

Yeah, looking at the pic I'm not surprised. That brace help his leg from coming plumb off. He planted on it, and the knee just wasn't there.

they use the term " suggested " which to me means they are not sure, that is why he is flying to florida tomorrow for more tests. they are not sure of the damage yet

Shanahan deserves reprimanding. I just cannot explain his decisions regarding RGIII's injury. I understand wanting to win the game but put the franchise at stake? He needs someone to punch him like a brother. Let him know he's still wanted but not to do that again. Fuck.
