That is exactly what I was going to say, some people have no clue. He wore the glove in the last two games of the season, in both games, commenters are actually saying that his throws are even better with the glove.

Hilarious

Welcome to real football, pal.

I heard last night on the radio that he's been wearing them for the last couple games. Said it was related to his surgery?

Do people honestly believe the Ravens are more then a long shot in this game? Or are people just hating on Manning?

Seriously?

It so, I laugh at those of you who think I am simply biased and know nothing about football.

Prior to the regular season game at Baltimore I said it might be a good game, a close game. It wasn't.

The Broncos haven't lost since October 7th, every week getting better and better. Anyone who has seen the tape or watched the games will attest to this. The entire culture at practices is apparent, the club is calm and relaxed. Treating this week's game just as any other in their 11 game winning streak.

The Broncos are the only team in the league with a top 5 offense and a top 5 defense. They're defense is ranked #2. The Ravens have an overall ranked defense of 17, 20th against the run.

Perhaps if this game was in Baltimore again, it would be closer. It's not. Mile high fans will be pumped. Flacco is an inconsistent QB at best, much better at home then on the road. All of the stats will testify to this.

People think Ray Lewis and Dernard Pollard are going to make the difference of the massive 34-17 beatdown that was 31-3 before 2 garbage time TD's to Dennis Pitta that our zone defense allowed in the final 7 mins of the 4th QTR. They will not make that difference. Their offensive line healing up will help them quite a bit more as Flacco had no time against Denver's pass rush in the last meeting. Marshal Yanda being back at guard will be the biggest boost for the Ravens when considering all the players missing in the previous matchup.

This game will not be close. The Broncos are going to obliterate the Ravens. If any of you have misgiving's of the opposite happening, I can promise you your football knowledge is infinitely inferior to mine, regardless of my bias.

The eyeroll typically denotes sarcasm.

He was saying it making fun of the other poster, not as fact.

The Glove is not only about what it does for Manning's grip, but what the weather does to the ball.

They go hand in hand.

The colder the weather, the harder and slicker the football. Meanwhile, the most lasting residual effect from Manning's neck surgeries has been the nerve regeneration in the grip of his right throwing hand.

Both of us are correct. Its the weather that affects his grip, his surgery has changed his gripping characteristics in cold weather.

that is what happens when some peoples only exposure to football is 5 minutes on sportscenter here and there.

I'm going to root for the Ravens, just because.

Couldn't care less who you root for, nor was I singling any one out. Root for who you want, but if you believe the Ravens are anything but a massive under dog, you're simply kidding yourself.

Rooting for the underdog is fine though, I am doing the same in the Texans v. Pats game. Doesn't mean I think the Texans are anything other then a huge underdog in that game. I just love Arian Foster, Gary Kubiak, Brian Cushing (too bad about his season ending injury) and others on that team. Also because of what Dan Shaugnessy wrote in the Boston Globe about how they are nothing but tomato cans

Mannings record in the post season makes it hard to pick the Broncos to go to the Super Bowl. Manning has been in the playoffs more than almost any other qb. Yet he managed to get to the big game only twice. Compare that to Bradys 5 times.

While Manning doesn't choke in the playoffs he always seems to have that one game that he's off and his team loses.

Plus he's probably got to get past Brady, who is the most clutch post season player ever. Brady has made the Super Bowl like 5 out of 10 times he's made the playoffs. And that's in the same conference as Manning is in. That's a record that may never be broken.

I can certainly understand that point, and that POV. Its not wrong. However, this Bronco team is far superior to any team Manning drug to the Super Bowl or into the playoffs in Indianapolis. They just are. Namely on the Defensive side of the ball. Brady was always surrounded by infinitely more talent, IMO.

Don't get me wrong, the Pats worry me. They do. IF they beat us next week it isn't going to be all that surprising. However, at least we get to play them here at home in Denver, a Mile High, where Brady has a terrible record. So that gives us more of a shot then some might think.

They beat Brady the last time we saw him in the playoffs here in Denver, they can certainly do it again. Besides, there is always next year which will see the Broncos in the same position, undoubtedly, as they find themselves this year.

But to be concerned about the Ravens? Sorry, but I'm as confident as one can be in such an important game as a fan.

Ignore the typical Pats fan gloating. What's funny is that since Adam Vinatieri left and their defense collapsed, the Pats haven't won anything meaningful. Pats fans love to ignore the role the Patriots defense and Adam Vinatieri played in their success. When the Pats win, it is all Brady; when the Pats lose, it is always someone other than Brady.

Brady got to the Super Bowl twice with lousy defenses and no rushing game at all.

And there were years the Colts had a decent defense. At least they almost always had a premiere running back. Brady had to drag along Laurence Maroney.

The ravens are a long shot. But I wouldn't count them out with all that confidence.

That playoff bye week can do horrible things to a team steamrolling.

Yeah that is always a worry. Some teams come out flat for the first quarter or so and by the time they get going the games over.

If the cold weather is accompained by wind it could really be an interesting game.

Ok, here's a dumb question.
Is it easier to breathe at high altitudes when its cold?
