BTW, Pete Carroll is giving away a pair of tickets and airfare to the SEA-ATL game onTwitter.

We probably need an offseason thread already (if there is one.. oops) but this is awesome:

Tebow deserves a shot somewhere. He has earned at least one more try and f it fails he is done as a QB. He could play right now as a TE, FB and possibly as a RB but he may have an ego about the QB thing.

I think the Ravens will cover the spread. I'm hoping they win but the Broncos have pretty much every statistical advantage.

Of course you do, you are a Patriots fan. Isn't Manning 9-0 against the Ravens in his last nine games?

Weren't the Broncos up 31-3 before they slowed down on the Ravens once this year?

I just don't think Eli's lesser brother can get to 10 in a row.

@Eric_Branch
Donte Whitner said Justin Smith has been moving 355-pound Leonard Davis in practice: “I think he’ll be 95 % … Leonard Davis is a large guy.”

Yessssssss!

THAT'S the reason right there why teams are hesitant to have Tebow on their team.

"He could play right now as TE". Really? He has zero catches in the NFL. I guess he might have caught a couple in college. Yet, you are saying he could be a TE right now? Just body wise he would have problems. Aaron Hernandez has him beat by 11 pounds and Aaron is not known as good run blocker. Gronkowski is a good run blocker and he has 29 pounds on Tebow.

Very few qb's successfuly make the transition to another position at the pro level. And yet you're sure Tebow could play right now. Off the top of my head I looked up Vonta Leach one of the best FB's playing. He is 24 pounds heavier than Tebow. Not to mention how few, if any, RB's or FB's are 6-3. Adrian Peterson is tall at 6-1.

I would not want to deal with Tebows fans who have no sense of reality when it comes to his talent or even the basics of football. But who will scream like hell if Tebow is benched.

Brady has a rather diluted playoff record. Ever since their last win, Brady has been pretty shitty. Probably a factor of how many games they have actually played, his playoff record is pretty much lousy compared to his overall career. Shockingly lousy, even.

Eli Manning is far, far more clutch than Brady in the postseason. He's also one of the most mediocre QBs in history, through the regular season, unlike Brady.

Go figure.
Pretty funny, considering if Brady wins one more playoff game, that would set the NFL records for MOST post-seasons wins for any quarterback in history. Right now he's tied with Montana.

Eli is not clutch, just somehow get really lucky. But, as we saw, not this time.

Even more telling quote

Flacco had a 38.6 success rate on the road in the regular season, worse than Mark Sanchez (39.1), Nick Foles (40.0) and Matt Cassel (42.8)

Thats some good company there

For this weekend I'm going with Denver over Baltimore, San Fran over GB (even though I think keeping Alex Smith on the bench was a stupid move, I also don't think GB is very good this year). Seattle over Atlanta, Seattle is red hot and Atlanta sucks against running QBs. And the Pats over Houston, because Houston has looked nearly dead lately.

Tony Gonzales has never won a playoff game, that's crazy.

Ignore the typical Pats fan gloating. What's funny is that since Adam Vinatieri left and their defense collapsed, the Pats haven't won anything meaningful. Pats fans love to ignore the role the Patriots defense and Adam Vinatieri played in their success. When the Pats win, it is all Brady; when the Pats lose, it is always someone other than Brady.

Now you've truly gone nuts, do you think any REAL Patriot fan would forget the contributions of Ty Law or Adam V or Anton Smith, Teddy Bruschi?. Adam V kicked a game tying then game winning FG's in a freaking blizzard, that will grant you immortality in the eyes of any Patriot fan, we did not forget...

the ravens are not gonna win this one.

I'm pulling for 'em, if the won they would advance to NE (if NE beats the Texans). Flacco had some nice hookups in vs colts but you've got to believe Denver's D is gonna make that a much tougher task at mile high..

yeah, there's almost no way it's gonna happen. denver defense is killer and so is their offense. ravens defense is garbage. the only reason they won last week was because they were playing the colts, who had, pretty much, the easiest schedule in the league next to the falcons.

both eli manning and joe flacco are mediocore qbs who get lucky/bailed out by their receivers making some spectacular catches.

Because the AFC West and NFC South are grueling divisions to go through. Denver had a cakewalk of a schedule too. 5 of their games were against teams with winning records. Their much vaunted 11-game win streak was against the likes of KCx2, SDx2, OAK, CLE, TB, and CAR.

Plenty of people dumped on Houston for beating up on an easy schedule. I'm not sure why Denver gets this fact passed over.

ACTUALLY, the Colts had a strength of schedule in the middle of the pack based on their opponent's 2011 record. The Redskins actually had a weaker schedule:

And here I believed you Skins fans when you talked about how incredibly hard their schedule was compared to the Colts. Take a look who had the easiest schedule -- the Patriots.

Please tell me you're joking re: Flacco being bailed out by spectacular catches.

That comment is actually very telling. It shows that you haven't paid attention to the Ravens playoff losses over the last couple of years.

Ravens D is garbage? They didn't allow a TD against the Colts, who were 10th in the NFL in offense. Stop making yourself look dumb.

And they displayed an excellent pass rush too. Yes, I know the Colts line sucks, but the Ravens mixed up the blitzes and came in from every angle and were untouched on many.
