New to buying stocks but so far its a rush. Just trying not to be a fool and lose it all!

60% into REIT.

Some cell phone company's, Ford (woot went up a lot today).

Now plan to buy into another sector. Only looking at Dividend paying stocks right now.

PSEC has been mentioned here before. Its down ~8% because of their third additional stock sale in 2 years. They keep ths up and they will dilute away their earnings.

C was and continues to be one of the weakest banks post-crisis - that was the last I read about a year ago, so unless they changed something, I don't see how they changed much since. Long-term, they might be a pretty good bet, but so is BAC.

My indicator just produced a BUY signal today. Buying SPY Nov 17 143 calls at about a dollar apiece, buying AT the close, pending end of day confirmation.

I just want to point out that I follow this indicator no matter how bearish I am, or how bad I think the charts look. My crash call was based on a chart pattern match from 1987, not from my indicator.

edit: As of 4pm the signal has fizzled away into the close. shrug. Maybe tomorrow...

Based on the numbers for Google's current revenue, yeah, something like $572m by the time the patent expires in 2016. Most current players are going to be a bit pissed that they didn't get the $500m or so they were asking for from back royalties, but yeah, for a company that LOSES money year on year... this is a huge win.

Right now I'm trying to pin the tale on the earnings donkey, so to speak. We're looking at a possible quarterly revenue of about $30m, so I'm trying to figure out what an applicable share price is for this stock right now.

As long as "job creators" that don't actually have a job are thought to need more money, I say dems should be elected.

Example: Billionaire has a billion dollars. Buys munciciple bonds. Makes money and "creates jobs". Why can't a middle class person take disposable income that hey don't have now (via taxing the rich more thus the poor less) and buy the same muni bonds?

Amazing, non billionaires can also be "job creators"? *brain plodes*

This congress will always wait till the last minute to act. Thats just they way they work. Both sides trying to play chicken.
And yeah the market will be bumpy. Nothing new here.
