This thread is cool and all but I'm wondering if there are stock investment forums worth the candle. I did a search a little while ago and registered at http://www.OnlineTradersForum.com but so far haven't been impressed. They seem to have what I regard as a problem with related sites that pay them for plugs. And there seem to be trolls. I don't recall a really helpful thread there. I'm registered at Investools (far from free!) and their forums aren't so great in my experience either. Does anyone know of good forum stock investment resources?

Anyways, RIMM is retardely low in terms of share price. There was a rumnor odf a apatent sale today but it is probably without merit. Rumor is due to the MSFT deal that occured today.

And RIMM remains retardedly cheap day in and day out. You're a brave soul.

Don't know but I'm thinking of adding to my position in T. Have T in my retirement account. The plan is to hold this one for 25 years and reinvest dividends. By 2035 the dividends should pay my food bill

The utilities were the best performer in the fall and are following the broader market down. They aren't being insulated from the downtrend because the price of electricity keeps dropping due to the dropping cost of natural gas. I wouldn't sell though as they will likely decrease less than the broader market in the long term.


Its usually sell in May and go away, but it looks like its sell in April this year. Many people including myself have some money on the sidelines and will put it in when we reach bear market territory. I was hoping to get back into GE at sometime so seeing lower prices is good.

I only have options. And I do not discuss cash amounts. I'll talk percentage of portfolio if you want. I can say that I put 5-10% of my cash into RIMM options.

I knew I should have nabbed AAPL at 620 and "flipped" it. I left $1000 on the table in 4 days. Anyway, I'm waiting for a pullback (if it happens) right now.

Hooray...aaand you're right. Man, I haven't seen these kinds of losses in my account since I tried to play MIPS earnings last summer. Ah well. It's only a paper loss until I hit the "sell" button. And that's NOT happening.

Unless this earnings season is good, in which case, all of a sudden, everyone will reverse their sentiments.

However, I really, really wish I'd followed my own rules of just taking my few % and leaving. Being all in and trying to "invest", hot off of a huge rally, may have been stupid.

Ah well. Dividends in my two major holdings should keep whacking my cost basis down.
