Outlook appears to be more important than beating it seems.

Sequential revenue growth...or the lack there of.

The March Quarter of 2011 was 12.847B. March, 2012 comes in at 12.906B.

Not great based on the fact the share price is 30-odd% higher.

Interesting comment on Spain here (longer term Spanish debt auction, after "failed" one a week or two ago (http://video.cnbc.com/gallery/?video=3000084110&play=1), I think occurs overnight before US markets open tomorrow?):
"If Spain is unable to regain market confidence, will it be pushed into a bailout programme? Not immediately, but this does seem inevitable. The good news as far as Spain is concerned is that the country has already pre-funded half of its debt rollovers for 2012. Even if Spain faces unsustainable borrowing costs*, it will not actually run out of cash this year.

Furthermore, the ECB will not stand idly by while Spain is forced into a bailout programme. At the very least, the ECB will step up its Spanish bond purchases through the securities markets programme (SMP). While additional long-term refinancing operations (LTROs) are unlikely so soon after the three-year LTROs were offered, the ECB may take further steps to prop up the ailing Spanish banking system.

While ECB intervention could buy some more time for Spain in the short-term, it is extremely unlikely to fundamentally change Spain's fiscal or economic trajectories. In the absence of economic growth**, Spain will eventually be forced to request official financing, potentially as early as next year.

* Some talking head on CNBC yesterday said sustainable borrowing costs should be equal to about the sum total of it's inflation rate and particular country's growth rate.

** Talking specifically about Italy's dilemma last winter, Sean Egan discussed the four options he saw: 1) massive growth (Facebook and Facebook II moving to Italy), 2) new pot of money, specifically IMF (US and emerging market countries), 3) massive default, 4) Clinton-esque moment (finally coming to terms with unsustainable debt after public have been properly prepared for that news and printing tons of electronic Euros): http://video.cnbc.com/gallery/?video=3000056089

I remember people told me that about AMD...how I had an irrational attachment to it...lol +76% from where I bought it at initially. But then again, AMD *is* making money...I'll have to look at DNDN's and RMBS' data to see if they're undervalued or if they're just going to be zombies that get possessed by the rally ghost (kind of like what happened with OCZ on Friday). I get the impression Azurik is a smart guy, so if he's holding, he does have a plan.

It varied since I purchased (and sold) throughout the years. I've gotten it as low as $5.00 and as high as $30. Overall, believe it or not, I'm still net positive on RMBS, but that profit has gone down significantly because of the events that transpired late last year.

As Zimu stated, I love Rambus, the company and its potential. Although unlike what he said, I won't stay with a stock without any merits.

Last November provided a once in a lifetime opportunity to become a multimillionaire off of one decision, which could have easily gone the way I expected it to be. Unfortunately, I didn't give enough credence to the fact that people are emotional beings who are easily swayed, even if they had made up their mind.

Lesson learned there was:

1) Don't discount people and the many times they can change their mind, especially on a jury pool.
2) I could have made a ton of money still, if I had just bought very cheap puts. Every $1,000 made $21,000. I had quite a few puts, but leveraged a lot of calls and shares that the puts couldn't negate on a nose-dive that like.
3) I have to make my millions at another time

heardx about this on NPR. I guess the release also says that this poses no risk to his health. I'm assuming that is because it was caught early.

At his age, I'd be concerned about the risk of "once it starts, it just keeps going".

I'm genuinely curious -- how many figures are you worth?

I sold my stake when it hit the $8 mark back in March. Unfortunately I jumped on the MSFT band wagon a little late

MSFT has been stuck in the $25 to $30 range forever... When it hit the $33 point, I just took it off my watch list. People are forecasting the "end of the PC", and it isn't growing THAT well in newer areas like mobile and tablets, so we'll see what Windows 8 brings.

I'm still almost all in. Sitting tight... definitely went in too early though. Shite. Slowly growing my cash reserves in other accounts though - hope I don't need them.

i'm hoping windows 8 will at least let me get my money back. I don't think I will take a huge loss either way.

$30/$31 appears to be the usual peak. The upper $20s makes it looks like it's priced for stagnation or limited growth.

Worst case, collect their 2.5% (?) dividend for a few years.

Nice jump on Friday post-earnings. Hope you cashed out in time.

Crashy crashy today. I love the market: what a bunch of bullshit. Non-stop rally from January to March after Greece got another bailout, but everyone knew they, and the rest of the continent was still completed f*cked and already in recession. Suddenly, "worries about Europe" are back.
