Patent suits filed against HTC, RIM and Viewsonic in the US and Germany

Espoo, Finland - Nokia has filed claims in the United States and Germany alleging that products from HTC, RIM and Viewsonic infringe a number of Nokia patents.
...

EDIT: I got out of RIM yesterday at a 25% loss to free up funds for one of yesterday's OCZ purchases. I only had 32 shares of RIMM so it was not a big deal.

Nice bounce for OCZ, hopefully I got in at the right time.

You bought low perfectly at $4.91.

I checked this morning as it was bouncing between $4.92 - $4.97, got excited, sold all 5000 shares in CIM, put a Limit order for 2900 shares of OCZ at $4.92, then went for lunch expecting the order to fill. I checked in at the end of the day, see my unfilled order for OCZ, and see that OCZ jumped to $5.50.

For a few measly pennies under $5.00, I missed a 10% increase in the afternoon. My luck was bad today. Maybe tomorrow will provide a second chance but I am doubting it.

I am glad to be out of CIM though. Shareholder dilution is dropping the dividends lower. The share price seems to be slipping lower as we get closer to the Fed increasing interest rates. Risk in CIM is increasing while the dividend payout is decreasing.

Wow, that's shitty. Mine was limit as well (at $4.91 obviously) and it filled super quick. I'd be pissed if mine hadn't filled

Hey, it's nice to have a stock that I mention get popular

Yeah, so all the analysts are upping their price targets to the $10-$14 range...OCZ's expanding like crazy. Great company that is super well run.

Yes, thank you. While I was aware of OCZ, I was not keeping up with its current price or the impact of the quarterly results.

OCZ

February 7, 2012
share price = $9.41
Total shares outstanding = 39,982,000 shares
Company Value = Total shares outstanding * share price = 39,982,000 shares * $9.41 = $376,230,620

February 8, 2012
http://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/OCZ.O/key-developments/article/2476473
OCZ offers an additional 12,000,000 shares to public at $9.00.
Total shares outstanding = 39,982,000 + 12,000,000 = 51,982,000 shares.
Company Value remains the same, just spread across more shares.
Company Value = $376,230,620 / 51,982,000 shares = $7.23 / share

Since February 8, share price has dropped due to shareholder dilution and low expected quarterly earnings.
http://www.google.com/finance?q=NASDAQ:OCZ
Look at the 6 month graph and the price drop since Feb. 7, 2012.

Therefore, according to the company value before the shareholder dilution, the current share value may theoretically be $7.23. Meaning the current price at $5.56 continues to be a bargain.

Finance wizards, is this a valid analysis?
I have not taken any finance classes, did I make any stupid mistakes or overlook anything?

The Wall Street Journal even stated the $9 offer of 12M shares was at a 4.4% discount.

Yes. However, it doesn't matter -- OCZ will be a double digit stock within the next year, so I wouldn't sell at $7.23

What're you holding?

Suncor (oil sands - down 10% in last 3 days) and Loblaws (huge Canadian grocer - owns Joe Fresh clothing stores in New York).

Roughly 50% of my money a piece. They're stable-ish?

Wooo-eeee...

Tomorrow is gonna be ugly.

I think you are correct.

After my sale of CIM last week, I am now sitting on 90% cash.

I plan to watch OCZ to see if it dips below $5.00 again.

I also plan to watch CRD.A and CRD.B. This is one of my previous employers and while they are not an outstanding stock, they tend to cycle annually, and they appear to be at a low point now. I have noticed in the past that CRD.B is always priced higher than CRD.A. CRD.A gets better dividends but CRD.B climbs higher. They tend to be a good opportunity when CRD.B drops within $1.00 of CRD.A. At the moment, they have a $0.50 difference which is typically a BUY signal for me after watching and holding this stock over the last 6 years. This stock has potential for doubling by the end of November and early December.

Other than these OCZ, CRD.A, and CRD.B, I am open to opportunities as the market drops.

NVDA got upgraded ahead of earnings. Up 2.77%.

Loaded up on some more OCZ @ $5.29. Enough dry powder to increase position under $5.

CRD.B jumped up 8% today. Of course, I thought it would drop a bit more and did not purchase it. Same thing as with OCZ last week, I keep missing opportunities even when I see them happening.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=VRTX

Have been holding quite a bit of this for a while and was hoping it was going to get back in the mid-40s before selling. Still can't believe it jumped up $20.71(55%) in a single day.

Could use some advice. Based on the number of sellers - http://data.cnbc.com/quotes/VRTX/tab/8

I'm guessing it would be a good idea to put in a market order before the market open and sell it all?
