CRD.B jumped up 8% today. Of course, I thought it would drop a bit more and did not purchase it. Same thing as with OCZ last week, I keep missing opportunities even when I see them happening.

Why not buy on the way down in small chucks? You might not get the bottom price but at least you'll have a few shares.

Any chance Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac will recover in the coming years? Right now they are below a dollar, so I was considering putting $500 on one of them.

I mentioned previous that I had a stake in VVUS and that paid off. As a heads up another obesity drug maker, ARNA, has an FDA advisory meeting scheduled on Thursday. I bought in some shares at $2 and it's up to $3.16 now. A panel approval can send this skyrocketing just like VVUS. As always, these things are a crapshoot unless someone has an "in" with the FDA but it might be worth a small position for people willing to take some risk.

Have no idea what main forces driving the market today are, but did see a few interesting articles on Zerohedge today:

I'm actually up, on the strength of ARNA (bought last week, not sure if I'm going to hold through Thursday). Everything else is killing me though.

Up ~2% as the market pares its losses this afternoon.

It's a gamble but I'm pretty confident with OCZ too so I actually got in on the Jan 2014 $5 calls. Got me a couple dozen contracts at roughly $2. So if OCZ hits 7 again within the next year and half which I believe it'll likely do, stand to gain a nice profit.

Yeah, I know. I've been burned before. Will sell about 25% of it today.

At first I thought you meant the stock price itself was just over $2.00

Sorry, I should have said 'up $2+ today'. But now it's up $4.5!

It is a start.

But I think it may drop more this week. With this in mind. I just placed two limit orders.

• CRD.B - 1200 shares @ $3.98
• OCZ - 950 shares @ $4.96

I expect CRD.B to reach $6 by July, so this is a short term play. While OCZ has an excellent future ahead of it. I completely agree with the direction OCZ is heading.

Does anyone have any thoughts on RIMM? It seems to me that it remains a waiting game with little change since January. Yes, the stock has reached a low. Is this bottom? It has a chance to recover by fall if their product impresses. Are the odds better than the RMBS game?

I don't worry about these whole market drops. It'll usually bounce back in a bit. I wonder how exposed US companies really are to Greece that the US market drops 2% every time there's news about Greece.

Who knows when the stock will move.

The product (BB10 phone) will be accepted or not accepted in the USA in October. It looks pretty damned impressive from everything I have seen though. It should do well in markets other than the USA such as India. They just hired a CMO and COO. Finally, a head of marketting. I hate to say it, but in the USA, BB10s success has more to do with marketting than the actual product. It will be itneresting to see how they intend to brand it in the USA. They should advertise it from a business case level on CNBC. But they need to make it look hip on the channels teenagers watch.

Talk about alarmist bullshit. I was away from a computer all day, and I come home to that. Dow fell ~150 during the day and TSX fell 150-250. Apparently people are "freaking out over Greece". Someone should tell them everything tanked even more than that over the last week.
