Closing bell for FB: $38.23.



I thought it'd at least level out today with the FB hype... It WAS pretty level, even up, then just died around 3pm. Grrr...

Well, not even, the pattern of the last few days has been this.

Markets open, US markets go green (in some case +1% green) and about 2-3 hours into the trading day it starts to fade out and then you get an even more significant sell off in the last half hour of the day.

Then the futures market rebounds after trading closes. (e.g. in this case up from -10.20 and moved to -8.2 within 10 minutes).

It's been pretty pathetic.

I was looking to get into HVU.TO at 3.2 but it didn't quite get there (hit 3.25ish) - 7 days later it's trading at 6.70.

Sigh.

Ha. Ya, I noticed that. Every morning over the past week, maybe two, I check the DOW and it's green in the +50 points range. Over the day it drops to negative, then closes at something like -50 to -100. The exception was yesterday, or the day before, when it hit -150 somehow.

To you dirty Americans: do you have a holiday on Monday?

The long weekend scares me because I can't make any moves on Monday if shit breaks past the 200 day DMA. If it moves past the 200 day DMA - I am buying every bear ETF and shorting everything I can.

Until they withdraw the bid at $38.00 or there are so many bids at 38.00 that the wall gets taken out.

After reading AGAIN that the first-day IPO price was propper up by the underwriters, I finally started to understand it (I'm slow...).

Article also said that after these banks stop propping it up after 5 days or so, it'll take a big dump. Interdasting...

By the way, you should see the "official FB IPO thread" and some of the "omfg, it's going to $50 opening day stupids!!!".

Article also said that after these banks stop propping it up after 5 days or so, it'll take a big dump. Interdasting...

The funny part was when that Whale dumped his huge wad of shares, the price began to collapse rapidly.

The only thing that made sure no prints under 38 occured was that 12+ million share bid holding up the price.

I finally got confirmation this morning that my order was cancelled.

I'm partly relieved, but at the same time it shows a HUGE failing given the share price fell well under my buy limit several times on Friday. NASDAQ fail.

But at least it means if there's another few days of general market slide, I'll have money to pick up BAC.
