I was going to ask him not to make an ass of himself, but then again, he's a LeBron hater, and that pretty much comes with a territory.

I actually like Lebron. It is just sad when the player everyone continues to hail as the greatest of the greats, shows up in a conference finals game to score a total of 7 points. His performance was pathetic. With the exception of the Hill block at the very end of the game, Lebron did nothing on defense. He also did nothing on offense. Now, I don't expect him to score 40 points, especially because he got into foul trouble early and sat out, but when he came in to the game in the 4th, he should have taken over.

Don't get me wrong, I think Lebron is the best in the NBA right now, but he isn't going to be considered if he continues with performances like this. This just mirrors his awful performance in Game 4 in the Finals against the Mavs.

He had one awful game in which he completely failed to do anything, Paul George scored 21 points in the 4th quarter, and the Heat lost by a whopping THREE points. If I'm an Indiana fan, that doesn't exactly inspire confidence; LeBron lays a brick like that once a year at most. The Heat look likely to move on and if they win another championship, no one is going to give a damn about LeBron's performance in one game in the Eastern Conference Finals. And even with that stinker, who is playing better than LeBron overall in the 2014 playoffs? The only people who are going to judge LeBron's performance based on a single outlier are people who already dislike him and are looking for data to justify their irrational position.

If you liked LeBron, I doubt that you'd make a strawman argument about him being hailed as "greatest of the greats" by "everyone".

It's pretty telling that you have to go back three years, two championships, and one gold medal to find LeBron's last poor performance.

1 bad game from James = overrated choke artist. Forget there's a good chance he'll go on to win another ring and another finals mvp. And the fact he surpassed Jordan for most playoff games with 25+ points means squat. He's doomed Stephenson is in his head...

His only hope is to play almost perfect tomorrow and to never have another bad game until he retires. Unless that happens he's screwed

So, Lebron forgot his ticket to Indiana it seems. If you want to fancy yourself the best player in the NBA, you don't have games like this. Foul trouble or not, 7 points in the Conference Finals when you're supposed to be the best in the world is stupid.

I'm a huge LeBron hater but you gotta admit those 5 fouls were pretty much BS.

Game 5 really demonstrated how wildly subjective NBA officiating is. They clearly wanted Pacers to win the game, so what do they do? They call a lot of questionable fouls on LBJ.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see the Heat go down. They are boring and no one wants to see them in the finals for a 4th straight time. I"m not a huge Pacers fan, but I'd take them going into the Finals over Heat any day.

Still, back to my point. Those fouls on LBJ were so blatantly called just to get Pacers the edge. The NBA may want Heat to go to Finals, but they also want to drag out the conf. finals a bit longer for more $.

Brilliant move by Pop finally taking Splitter out of the starting lineup and going with Diaw/Bonner... Can't let OKC just pack the paint like earlier.. gotta spread them out and speed up the offense.

While I am a heat bandwagoner, I still hope the spurs can win it all this year. Duncan deserves to go out like a champ, the most fundamentally sound nba player.

Glad all you "omg Spurs are done" people were proven right tonight. Oh wait...

Pop showing his ability to make the adjustments needed to win.

Only question is if it'll roll over to Saturday night.

Well, let's see... Game 1 was a blowout win for the home team. Game 2 was a blowout win for the home team. Game 3 was a blowout win for the home team. Game 4 was a blowout win for the home team. Game 5 was a blowout win for the home team. So I predict that Game 6 will be a blowout win for the home team, followed by Game 7, a blowout win for the home team. Good thing the Spurs still have homecourt advantage, right? I don't recall ever seeing a series quite like this, where it's just blowout after blowout and the games aren't really in question by the third quarter.

Also, I do recall asking why the hell Westbrook and Durant played so many minutes in their last game when they had a 20+ point lead. They both looked exhausted tonight. More of that Scott Brooks magic!

Because the Spurs bench got it within 16, and as close as 12.

Easy to say when the Spurs are up 3-2, but I like the Spurs because they've been able to make coaching adjustments to Ibaka's rim protection, and I just don't trust Scotty Brooks to match Pop.

I hope the spurs take it because I'd like to see a team known for it's discipline and teamwork beat a team known for it's superstars carrying the load. However its the teams that have superstars that can the load who win more often. There are obviously varying degrees, but it seems you've got to have guys that are capable of creating and producing at the end of games when all else fails and open shots aren't to be had.

With the thunder's lack of scoring off the bench? Doubtful.

It would have made it a much closer game, but sitting Durant and Westbrook, or at least changing them out for the first part of the 4th wouldn't have been a terrible thing. Even if the Spurs managed to get in actual striking distance, the starters were playing awful. Westbrook had a career game, the best I've seen in a long time from anyone. With him hot like that, resting him while the Spurs bench catches up, wouldn't be awful. Play him and Durant in the last 3-4 minutes if needed.
