All I can say is I hope the Spurs/Mavs goes 7 games... If Portland can beat Houston, we get the Texas survivor, and since both the Spurs and Mavs are filled with older players, it helps us immensely if they're exhausted from a long series. I don't know that we can beat either team, but I like our odds against the Spurs or Mavs better than I liked our odds against Houston and look how that's going....

I don't think Portland has the experience to take on either Spurs or Mavs, a 1-player team is no match for them. Sure, it might go to 6 or 7 games, but they will loose.

I hope Vinsanity returns!

I do hate when the Texas teams face off against each other this early in the playoffs though. =(

If you think the Blazers are a one-player team, you haven't been watching them. We had two All-Stars this year, and the starting five is all solid; it's the lack of production off the bench that has been the biggest Achilles heel for Portland the last few years (also knee injuries, but let's not go down that road). I do think the lack of playoff experience hurts, but the Blazers match up well against the Spurs, and Dallas for that matter... Could make for an interesting series either way. But that's getting ahead of ourselves; we still have to get another game against Houston.

I was watching the game the other night, after Portland pulled out another crazy OT win, and the local news was going around interviewing fans after the game and asked some 11-year-old kid how he felt. And even in his excitement, he said, "Well, it's nice, but hopefully we can get another win." That's the Portland fan in a nutshell; after years of dashed hopes, we're pretty reserved in our predictions, because we've seen it all come crashing down before. That kid wasn't even born the last time Portland won a playoff series. If we get out of the first round, it's a moral victory.

I always wondered what would happen if Lakers and Clippers faced off...

Who would get home court advantage? and would it really be an advantage? You cannot really ask everyone to wear one team's jersey or color the stadium with their theme, as equal number of fan will be present from each side...

Jack Nicholson and Billy Crystal would have a slap-fight at center court.

Laker games have never been a sea of purple and gold unless you're in the 300 section. This is LA, we gotta show off our money yo.

The refs have to give technical fouls to these okc divers. Westbrook and Durant threw themselves to the ground every fucking time, it is so ridiculous.

I'm shocked at how competitive the OKC/Memphis series and the SA/Dallas series are. I thought SA/Memphis and OKC/Dallas would be better matchups and produce longer series. I was wrong, bigtime.

Surprised about the sa/dal matchup but not at all about mem/okc. Memphis has knocked out okc two of the last three years if I'm not mistaken. And seems to have a good plan for them.

Crazy to me how okc can't seem to figure out Memphis. 4 straight OT's and in every game the same thing. Memphis leads the whole way, okc makes comeback to force OT, Memphis comes out fast and okc catches up at the very end. Killing me.

Well, Brooks is a terrible coach. But Durant has been riding high for the entire season and I figured that should be enough to get the Thunder out of the first round. Brooks is doing nothing to free up Durant and limit Westbrook's stupidity. Westbrook has taken 12 more shots than Durant in the three losses and only 3 more shots in the two wins.

Durant had one of the most efficient seasons shooting the ball in the history of the NBA, and Westbrook is one of the least efficient PGs in the NBA currently. It makes ZERO sense to see the shot distribution go the way it has, especially since Memphis slows down the pace and limits possessions. Each possession matters more in that case, and efficiency becomes paramount.

Memphis did beat OKC last year in the playoffs but was bounced three years ago by them.

I'm bummed that TNT chose to air the Wiz/Bulls game instead of Memphis and OKC. Sounds like that game was yet another classic but I don't get NBA TV anymore.

lol, at this point it looks like the top 3 NBA regular season teams, SAS, IND and OKC will be booted in the first round. Not to mention #4 (LAC) is not safe either and #5 (HOU) is almost out. So 4 out of 5 top teams, and possible all 5 are and looking to go home and enjoy the summer soon

Surely you mean Indiana, not Dallas. And, the SAS series is tied, so hold off on the sky falling.

Yes, I meant Indiana, fixed it.
Spurs started slacking off towards the end of the regular season and are continuing the streak, last game was saved by the resurrection of Manu, unless they have another miracle today, it looks pretty bleak.

The Spurs have not been very Spursian thus far, some of that is a credit to Carlisle and Dallas' energy but at the same time SA been tripping over their own feet a fair bit. Not to mention Parker has not been able to put forth a consistent game yet this series. Dallas is by no means out of the series but I think all it would take to put them out of it is for the Spurs to actually play like the Spurs.

And go Wizards! It'd be great to end up with some bizarro ECF like Raptors/Wizards lol.

Should of just streamed it somewhere online. It was amazing.

Down by 20, OKC comes back to tie it. Then Joey Crawford icing Durant leading to Brooks calling a horrible last play. Ibaka almost winning it in a tip in but only .1 second too late.

I think a Wiz/Heat matchup likely in the East.

Hopefully the Griz and Mavs can hold out. Would be an interesting postseason for a change if you've got both 1's, a 2, and a 3 all eliminated in the first round.

Why the fuck is Joey Crawford still in this league? Memphis deserved that win but ole' Joey totally iced Durant on that last free throw attempt! That man's ego has no limit.

And why is it that when the talking heads discuss Joey Crawford they always preface their comments with "I think Joey's a great referee, but..." and then proceed to mention how he does idiotic things that cost teams games? Phantom technicals, icing free throw shooters, wild gesticulations because he needs to be the center of attention, those are not the makings of a "great" referee. Hell, those aren't the makings of a competent referee. I'd rather have Tim Donaghy refereeing games at this point, and we KNOW he was fixing them. Joey Crawford is the worst referee in all professional sports and it isn't even close. You want to know the criteria for being a great referee? No one should know your name.
