I don't think Portland has the experience to take on either Spurs or Mavs, a 1-player team is no match for them. Sure, it might go to 6 or 7 games, but they will loose.
If you think the Blazers are a one-player team, you haven't been watching them. We had two All-Stars this year, and the starting five is all solid; it's the lack of production off the bench that has been the biggest Achilles heel for Portland the last few years (also knee injuries, but let's not go down that road). I do think the lack of playoff experience hurts, but the Blazers match up well against the Spurs, and Dallas for that matter... Could make for an interesting series either way. But that's getting ahead of ourselves; we still have to get another game against Houston.
I was watching the game the other night, after Portland pulled out another crazy OT win, and the local news was going around interviewing fans after the game and asked some 11-year-old kid how he felt. And even in his excitement, he said, "Well, it's nice, but
hopefully we can get another win." That's the Portland fan in a nutshell; after years of dashed hopes, we're pretty reserved in our predictions, because we've seen it all come crashing down before. That kid wasn't even born the last time Portland won a playoff series. If we get out of the first round, it's a moral victory.
