While that was an amazing first round, it's very anticlimactic that all the favorites won (Note: I considered Brooklyn, Portland, and Washington favored). Was really hoping to see the Griz, Mavs, Warriors, and Hawks make it through, but they all failed.

Joe has toned down the theatrics and is honestly one of best officials in the nba.

Have you not been watching? He totally ran onto the court and stopped KD right as he was about to shoot his second FT. The dude has an ego that rivals a star athlete's.

Yeah, he's one of the worst refs in the league ... not sure how he's still around after throwing out a player for laughing.

started as a great first round, then went to hell as all the teams with momentum didn't show up for the second half of the series.

I basically agree with your picks, but you have to have the brain of a turnip to pick Brooklyn over Miami. Brooklyn has a better chance of discovering cold fusion than beating the Heat. They needed 7 games to get through Toronto, they're going to turn around and beat the Heat? Or are you one of those people who is so blinded by LeBron rage that you forget that he's miles ahead of anyone in the league whose name doesn't rhyme with "seven you're aunt"?

That's just my upset pick. I'm pretty sure that Miami will win that series but given the troubles that they had with the Hornets, and they've had a lot of rest, the Nets will probably take it to 7 and have a shot. I think most of the second round is going to 7.

Nets looked real old during that series. I'm not sure they'll make it to a game 6.

Yeah, I'm thinking Spurs/Thunder and Heat/Wiz. Although if G7 Pacers show up for the Wizard series, that could throw a wrench into things, particularly if Hibbert is able to build on what was his best game in quite some time.

Having mixed emotions with the Mavs. On one hand, it was a long stretch for them to go deep in the play offs. On the other, no one expected them to put up the fight that they did against the Spurs AND have a couple opportunities to actually advance.

Still, the last game really left a bad taste in my mouth. Their defense was just so shitty. Well, here's to hoping Mavs' roster improves this summer.

Kudos to the Spurs for playing some great team basketball. If they continue to do that, I don't think any team can stop them.

The Spurs just really outplayed them that last game. Nobody on the Mavs could do anything. I think it is better this way though, as I don't see them getting as far as SA.

As far as the rest next round:

Western Conference - Round 2:
1) San Antonio vs. 5) Portland - in 5
2) Oklahoma City vs. 3) Los Angeles Clippers - in 7

Eastern Conference - Round 2:
1) Indiana vs. 5) Washington - 7
2) Miami vs. 6) Brooklyn - in 4 Miami will sweep. Brooklyn is just too old. Bosh will do really good.

What in the hell happened to Hibbert? Does he just suck now? Tired? Damn his stat line is downright pathetic.

Seriously giving this story some thought after that performance.. i mean, he's not even trying...0 pts 0 REBOUNDS took 2 shots

Interesting. That is similar to the story with the Cavs, Lebron and Delonte West and their implosion preceding his departure to Miami.

I, like most people, thought the Clippers/Thunder series was going to be the most competitive of the second round, but unless OKC can change virtually everything about their performance, LA is going to be breaking out the brooms in Game 4. Outside of the Spurs/Mavs, that's the most lopsided beatdown I've seen in these playoffs.
