Yeah...what happened with the Mavs then? They almost upset them in the first round???

I think the defending 2 time champs may have a bench that can hang with the Spurs you think...you know the one with Ray Allen, Birdman....etc.

shh, you're going to ruin his masturbatory prattling

You mean the bench that scores 14 points less despite only playing 3 minutes less? None of their bench is in double digits. The only person that scares me off their bench is Allen, if he's shooting well. He's still a liability on defense.

The Wizards just went into shell shock mode the last couple minutes. They kept bricking three after three after three and didn't try to get to the paint.

Pacers and Wizards better hope the Nets can somehow pull out a miracle. Playing like they are, they aren't passing the Heat.

Yeah, Wall in particular had an ugly stretch there at the end. Seemed to get a bit of the hero-ball mentality and kept trying to drain that three. If it works, great, but shooting is not Wall's forte really.

Also who was the center playing for the Pacers last night? Nobody recognized him

Also that headbang at the end totally makes this 10x more awesome.

Why are we talking bench anyway? A good bench isnt going to win a championship...the teams big guns are.

Last I checked, Ray Allen hit the game winning shot that helped the Heat survive in the Finals.

Yup, benches don't do shit.

Dude....of course the bench is important to some degree. But lineups dont go as deep in the playoffs. What Im saying is that the Heat bench is good enough to help win another chsmpionship. Spurs struggled in rd 1 and are older. Great team though thats for sure. Hope to see a rematch. I think the Heat if they are in the finals would have a better shot vs the Spurs than saty the Thunder because of their athleticism.

And how are they doing now? The Heat are struggling against an older Brooklyn team, as well as against the Bobcats. They've won/swept, but not convincingly. What are you going to say if the Spurs win again by over 20 tonight? If they sweep the Trailblazers?

Struggling? Theyve won by double digits both games. Shutout KG and Williams. Swept the Bobcats...

The Spurs almost lost the series in round 1 man..went 7 games. What would I say if they sweep Portland? Id say great job!

I give credit where its due. Ill tell you one thing though...I hope the Spurs make it to the finals for all the drama...but if the Thunder advance I think they beat the Spurs in WCF...my opinion of course.

I know you don't know what it's like, but it's hard to win 8v5.

Maybe you should learn like Hendrix and just not respond to me.

I haven't given up on you yet.

The Spurs haven't been winning because of depth, per se. They are winning because Pop is willing to experiment with different lineups and matchups depending on the opponent. Bellinelli is going off today but don't expect that if they play the Heat. If he gets meaningful minutes in that hypothetical series the Heat will switch him up on Lebron PNRs until Pop gets tired of the mismatch. Sagging off the PNR won't work as game 7 of the Finals showed.

Ultimately Wade's health is the deciding factor of the Heat vs whoever they play. If Wade is playing at 90% or above then the Heat have a good chance of sweeping the playoffs. Wade's lack of health last playoffs was a big part of the Heat's relative struggles in putting away playoff series. A full speed Lebron and Wade, with the shooters and defenders the Heat surround them with, is unbeatable by any team we currently see.

No team is a match up with Heats, they always play with 8, there can be no competition when you play 5 vs 8. You get within 5ft radius of crybaby = automatic foul

They should be used to it. Portland, like Dallas before them, just is not good at playing defense. Both teams serve to make SA's offense look more unbeatable than it really is.

I hate to tell you, but if you sweep a team that's convincing. 4 wins in a row does not equal struggle in any way shape or form. The Heat swept and had the longest lay off of any team in the finals. The Spurs in round 1 was a team struggling. Even if they go on to sweep round 2, round 1 was definitely close to being it for them.

I can see it now, The Heat sweep the Nets, and sweep whoever they face after that. Then in the finals they only lose 1 game. And people will still find shit to nitpick about them

"they might have won 3 games in a row in the finals, but they barely squeaked by, and they lost 1"
"they would have gotten swept if the refs didn't baby James"
"They got lucky... 3 seasons in a row"
"they still suck!"

All I gotta say is GO CELTICS!! for uhhh 2020 or whenever we're done "rebuilding" But for now the Heat are simply not beatable in a playoff series or the finals. But all these teams they smash on can brag about shit like how they went 4-0 against them in the regular season - like the Nets.

Heat have definitely been winning, but at the same time, how much have they been challenged thus far? Unless Indiana becomes fully functional again (and beats the Wizards, two big Ifs), I don't think there's really any competition on the same level as the Heat in the East this year. I like the Wizards, I just don't think they (or Wall) are consistent enough yet. I think either of them (and the Nets) can win a game or two but not the series.
