If the Spurs drop the heat (probably so), that makes two Texas teams to KO the Lebron heat recently with just plain tough as balls play harder style.

It's almost like the heat don't even feel like working for it. Oh and the heat coach is the worst coach in NBA history to get a championship. Horrible lack of leadership with all that talent. Phil Jackson or Pat Riley he certainly is not.

Every player on the spurs scored. That was a complete domination.

Heat are done for. This will make the offseason very interesting.

Seriously everyone gives Spolstra so much credit but IMO it wasn't him who brought the team together. He'd be nothing without the LeBron/Bosh/Wade.

Spoelstra turned bosh into a 3pt shooting soft pf. Rashard Lewis can do the exact same thing at a fraction of the cost.

They better keep playing this one. I know it's a big lead but it's evaporating pretty quickly.

This series is far from over and Miami could still come back and win it, but the silence from Heat "fans" is certainly deafening. So far, I think my dream from my earlier post is coming true:

I doubt the Pacers will win it at this point, but I'm hoping the Heat is brutally victimized by the West champs as a consolation prize.

I think you have to say it's far from over given the talent and experience on the Miami side. But if you watch the body language and total lack of response and adjustment to San Antionio you know they are done. That team is flatlined. They don't have an answer to SA's ball movement. They can't get into any sort of a significant rhythm offensively. They just look like they've mailed it in at this point.

We go back to SA on Sunday where the Spurs put their foot on the Heats throat and put them out of their misery.

I think the "big three" experiment in Miami is done. Wade is a hollow carcass of his former self. Bosh has turned into a much less talented Dirk. They lost their spark off the bench in the form of Miller. Chalmers is wasted bench space and wouldn't be worth a roster spot in most other teams. Haslem and Battier are old as dirt and done. Ray Allen has to be close to hanging up the sneakers too.

When Lebron leaves (and I think he will) this team is only going to be making the playoffs because the east sucks. Riley had his run. It's over.

lol, I love how quickly we are jumping on the heat as done. I hope it's true, but I think that's quite premature

This series was a couple free throws away from being over. 4-0. Sweep.

San Antonio is hungry and wants this thing over. They will come out on their home court Sunday and seal it. Miami was humiliated two games in a row on their home turf. They're done.

What's weird is that last year the Heats team was noted for their defense in the playoffs. In the Finals this year, they just can't seem to consistently stop the Spurs from scoring.

Good for the Spurs, but it's not amazing if/when they win it all. They have a great front office, a great coach, and a really good collection of players throughout the roster.

Honestly all I care about now is the off season, it's going to be very interesting to see what happens.

I will give a lot of credit to the heat, they are passing and shooting really well.

But Heat are just playing lazy and not smart basketball.

San Antonio was the better team last year and should have won it. I think they know it too and are coming out hungry and pissed.

I won't go as far as saying it is over, but I think the Fat Lady is warming up. I'd love to see another 20 point win by the Spurs on Sunday just to add to Miami's humiliation. I did see Miami is trying to figure out how to sign Carmelo Anthony to their current roster, so I think those predicting their imminent demise may be putting the cart in front of the horse. If they don't sign him and just keep the current cast, I don't think they'll win another title.

Considering that the teams that started 3-1 in the finals are 31-0 for championships, I would say that the odds are in the Spurs favor. Not to mention the way that SA has played.

SA's bench is spectacular. There is no let down at all.

I'm anxious to see what Bird will do with the Pacers. I know hindsight is 20/20 but I wish the Pacers would've kept Kawhi Leonard and Darren Collison instead of trading for George Hill from the Spurs.

The Pacers are fucked, tbh. Not sure there's any real room for growth. The East is really a joke right now. The Heat just cruised through and they are having trouble with the West. Van Gundy said it last night, the Heat would have been underdogs against a few teams in the West (sorta bs, especially in hindsight, but a bunch of other teams in the West would have been a lot tougher than anyone else in the East)

I'm not as interested in seeing who tries to create superpowers this offseason. I think Lebron probably stays, Melo leaves. Chicago might be an option but they seem to always sign guys too late, a la ben wallace, carlos boozer, and drose is flakey...noah is a monster though so I'd love to see that combo. I think Rockets are a more interesting fit, that's a giant big 3. But melo and harden? not sure that works.

That Kawhi putback dunk basically had me yelling at my TV, what an energizing display. Go Spurs go! I hope they close it out in G5 at home.

If they win, do Pop/Duncan/Manu/Parker stay together or do we see two (or three) of them bow out potentially?

I really wanted to see that tomahawk when birdman fouled him. Dude is sick. He's more of a superstar SG type player than they've had in the past, I wonder how they'll build around him

At least the girl singing didn't suck as much. Was all downhill after that. Only thing I can think of is Pop told lebron he was retiring if he wins and lebron's doing us a favor.

Good breakdown from Zach Lowe.. Spurs pick and roll is merly a trap that sucks in the defense and force them to play catch up to the ball that just whips around to the weak side/open guy who then gets a wide open look or drives into the lane to repeat the cycle all over again..

Might explain why Miami looks gassed out there.. they have to chase the ball for 20 secs a possession on defense with already a weak bench..

Diaw is the MVP of the series..the way he spreads out the defense and can play as another passer/playmaker has been killer for Miami

I dislike the Heat & most of all LeBron so it's quite nice watching them gag at home especially with the shitty fans they have lol

Even if somehow Heat win another game this series, they won't win the series. Wish it was a 4-0 sweep. Damn them free throws.

That behind the back pass play......just look at Lebron not following the defender and watching the ball/standing there.

If that's the best NBA has, than times are pathetic. That was just lazy and even a half way decent basketball player would know what to do.

To compare him to Jordan is a complete disgrace.

I see this CONSISTENTLY from LeBron as well.

I did see Miami is trying to figure out how to sign Carmelo Anthony to their current roster, so I think those predicting their imminent demise may be putting the cart in front of the horse.

"We're getting killed because of a lack of production from our bench and terrible, terrible defense. What do we do?"
"Ummm... try to sign a ball-stopping superstar who's used to jacking up 20 shots a game and plays sub-par defense?"
"PERFECT!"

I honestly don't see this working at all. They've tried teaming up past-their-prime superstars a couple times in the past few years. It didn't work out in LA (Howard, Nash, Kobe). It didn't work out in Brooklyn (Garnett, Pierce, Johnson). It didn't work out for the Knicks (Carmelo, Stoudemire, Chandler, Rasheed Wallace). Why would it be better for the Heat to get another superstar when their biggest problem is a lack of bench production and their second biggest problem is two superstars who aren't playing like superstars? Are they going to cut Wade? Never. But Wade is going the way of Jordan during his tenure with the Wizards. Bosh has been relegated to a spot-up three point shooter. Everyone on Miami is worse this year; LeBron is suddenly the only real asset they have. How on Earth does Carmelo turn that around?
