I, like many others, blame Holland for that part. Bert, Sammy and Cleary no longer belong on the team. The veteran loyalty is getting out of controll and it is now hurting the young guys ready to stepup.Random thoughts:
Severely disappointed in the lack of coverage for preseason games. We get it, Tigers were trying to clinch to division, big whoop, they are gonna choke it away in the ALDS anyways.
Feel bad for Nyquist going down, so much talent but no roster spot. But given that he didn't have to clear waivers, I can see how he was the clear choice to send down.
Ok Red Wings, you have one job this year. One fucking job. Stop being injured. Ok sure, you have 3 guys on the LTI before the season even starts. Lets not do what we have been doing and replace an injured guy with another injured guy as soon as he gets healthy.
Exception to this is of course Samuelsson, if someone pulls a Nancy Kerrigan on him, it might actually be in the greater good.
I'm listening to the game via online radio. How beautiful was Datsyuk's goal?Lol of course Sammy gets the first goal

Suck it Saber fans!!
To bad Miller didn't score on Miller
Did something happen during the game? What do you have against Sabres fans?
Nothing out of the ordinary. I think he was just excited for the 1st game of the year.
Weber is a douche though, but we already knew that.

You're still a clown, Roy.
There better be a fine for Player Selection coming. He sent Bordeleau and McLeod out for the last face off.
Mike Weber, a middling second pairing d-man is a douche? Man you Wings fans must hold on to an awful lot of animosity.
Nothing against them, just trying to start some new rivalries.
I didn't watch the game but supposedly, according to Roy, Gabby put his 4th line out there as well. Roy did have the right to be mad at the hit on MacKinnon near the end of the game. I just don't understand why players stick out their knees on purpose.
What does his & line position have to do with it?
Someone who throws elbows at peoples heads... is a douche.
I'm sure it was quite bad since there was no penalty on the play and as far as I can tell, you are the only one talking about it on the entire Internets.

What's your point?
I watched it.
Then fine Boudreau too.
The knee-to-knee hit didn't look anywhere near intentional to me.
If labeling a guy is a douche because he intentionally and consistently raises his elbow to meet players heads is a trait unique to Wings fans, then I am more proud to call myself a Wings fan than I thought I was.No point really, just confirming my suspicions about Wings fans.
I can't guarantee I'll be the first, but I certainly won't hold back. I've called out Abbie a dozen times for losing his cool. Yet he's never sunken to that level of head targeting.I'm quite sure you'll be the first to call a Wings player a douche for letting his elbow come up on a hit, anything less would be hypocritical.
