Carolina really needs to do some off season acquisitions to boost their offense. Cam staying healthy and getting some more experience (those INTs were just typical young QB errors not seeing the safety jumping the route), and they should control the NFC South.

yeah, it's really unfair. And then you have Sherman island.

And they all signed long term deals in the off season or recently as well! muwahaha!

What's unfair is watching Kaep's synapses trying to keep up with the Seattle secondary. He is an awesome athlete who should have stayed with baseball, but it is so painful watching him trying to go through his progressions, if he even does so at all. Sometimes he stays locked on to his WR target and Earl Thomas has it read coming out of the huddle.

But Kiper insists Wilson is too short (even though the line he played behind at WI was bigger than some NFL lines, cornfed mofo's) so I am sure Wilson will implode any game now. Because Kiper said so. There can't be a douchier douchebag on TV.

And Jacksonville drafted a PUNTER like 5 spots ahead of Wilson! ROFL.

Wilson played at Wisconsin? I had no idea.... :hmm:

I recall him being our QB for 3 years, then our dumb-ass coach releasing him from the team because he wouldn't commit explicitly to football over baseball.

Our coach was dumb, and was fired because of this.

But, I do know he was our QB at NC State for 3 years.

patriots didnt declare the tackle eligble and played around with placement of the Wides and the tackles pissing off Harbaugh and giving them some easy plays on that critical drive. Harbaugh is essentially calling it cheating.

Gonna be a big story tomorrow.

Not really. It was all legal. There was no tackle eligible, HooMan is a TE and doesn't need to declare that he's eligible. Vereen went up to the Ref and told him that he was ineligible and the ref told the Raven's D.

Yup, that's exactly what happened, as long as you notify the refs it's kosher. If you don't, the refs will flag you. Simple as that.

Yes sir, he played his final year of eligibility at Wisconsin. You should check out his stats, they are crazy good. And that year WI had the largest OLine in football, but Wilson was still thought of as too short by the mock draft douche nozzle testers like Kiper.

Harbaugh's complaint was in the timing of the announcement leaving no time between the snaps.

Refs seem to have agreed with him...

anyway, it seems sneaky and borderline, but sounds legal. I doubt it's cheating or dirty, it's just being clever...if not unrepentantly obnoxious.

And Harbaugh is straight up wrong. Nothing they did was against the rules but hearing the Ravens whine isn't exactly new either.

Your'e talking to me as if I don't already know all of this

The thing about Wilson, is that b/c he was in the ACC, already a shit small market football conference, and one of the more mediocre teams in that league--NC State, NO ONE knew him for those first 3 years...but he was always amazing. He set the NCAA passes-without-INT record during his second and third years.

I was actually happy that he went to a market where people would actually pay attention to what he was doing. He was the best athlete in the ACC those 3 years....and no one cared.

They let every WR walk - Smith, LaFell, Ginn - and then restocked in the draft. They should have some cap room to go after someone, like Marshall (if he's released like the rumors say), Gordon or perhaps Mike Wallace.

I think it's hilarious that the offense has to let the defense know who's eligible.

I know - Can't believed he whiffed 2x...

I almost wonder if the second one was intentional (as in, looking for a roughing the kicker), though I don't see that it helped them much.

If only Seattle could avoid the penalties for getting in fights, basically.

ESPN Rules Analyst a former ref and ref supervisor says that there's nothing in the rule book that says that a defense needs to be given time to determine who's eligible after declaring who's ineligible.

It's pretty genius. Up til now, it's always sending out a lineman and declaring them eligible. Nobody thought about doing the opposite. Harbaugh could have easily called a TO and tell his guys to watch it but he didn't. He was outcoached

Yep this is just a case of the Pats knowing the rules better than the other team and Harbaugh throwing a temper tantrum as he does.

Conscript, here are my picks
Seattle 28 Carolina 3
Packers 45 Cowboys 14

Not a bad pick heh. Actual score was 31-17. Didn't even cover the spread. Unfortunately for the Packers, Aaron is looking sketchy. It could be very interesting based on how bad he is hurting.

I knew the AFC were going to be good games and the Baltimore game was epic. I was so hoping they would win.... soooo close.

LMAO. Yeah, it was tough to pick that Seattle was going to win.

I like how he gives a nod to both schools on SNF when he says "A whole pack of badgers".

Either way he's an awesome dude and I love watching him play. Smart, efficient and rarely makes a mistake unlike *cough* choke Cam Newton *cough* and love watching him make those Houdini moves when getting chased. Hoping he wins another SB this year.

Yeah, I mean, picking the team that won the Super Bowl and finished as the #1 seed in the conference over a sub-.500 team that has a subpar offense? Fuckin' GENIUS!

I wasn't worried but then again it is the first time a defending SB winner has won a playoff game in their next season since 2005. That is pretty crazy.

I'm glad Brady got the last laugh because of this play in which he was sacked (for the 2nd play in a row) and the Raven's McPhee uses his knee to push Brady back onto the ground preventing him from getting to his feet, IMO he deserved an USC for the bush-league crap,..http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000456147/article/tom-brady-yells-at-official-after-sack
Anyway I think the person I'm happiest for is Danny Amendola, he has not lived up to what was expected from him when he was signed on but with Edelman out the last 2 games and again tonight DA played with fire and intensity, the first TD he somehow got into the EZ when it looked like he had zero chance of getting there, nice to see good remarks and great play from DA, you go guy!..

This video of him dancing with his Grandma seals his coolness IMO. Wish
I had a video of me and my Grandma dancing.

Anyway, what really separates Wilson is his intellect and preparation IMO. He is a natural born leader of men, in a field where size is extremely prevalent. One must exude presence to demand that kind of respect.

At WI Montee Ball was incredibly impressed he had the playbook down in a week. ONE WEEK! If you've ever seen a D-1 level playbook you would be very impressed by this.

Yeah, but in this case this particular Super Bowl winning team was playing at home where they've lost twice in the last three seasons.... So they were DUE! Or SOMETHING! Because, in all honesty, if you act like picking Seattle this weekend was a wild "you won't believe the crazy shit I'm going to call" sort of pick, frankly, the world doesn't need you any more. I'm not saying anyone should die, because that's awful. But some people should stop polluting the discussion with their worthless opinion because they actively make the species stupider every time they speak.

Not really, given how close the game really was until the end. And I seem to recall a debate on running games but I'm too lazy go back and see if that was you or some one else...
