Was wondering when someone was going to make this thread.

Everyone was a great help last year to me and got me second place.

Thoughts on my team. 12man PPR, These are my main starters.

Forte, Ellington, Cruz, Maclin, Andre Johnson, crabtree, Kyle Rudolph. Rivers.

Pierre Thomas, woodhead, Brandin Cooks are bench.

I think Mike Evans will do really good this year. I am trying to get him in leagues I am in.

Thanks for making the thread. I too was wondering if there'd be one.

Question: Would you trade Brandin Cooks for Josh Gordon?

ESPN 12 team, standard scoring

My WR corps consists of:

Julio
Emmanuel Sanders
DeSean Jackson
Brandin Cooks

I have proposed giving Cooks for Gordon, and there is interest, though the party is thinking on it.

I have my thoughts on this idea, but wanna hold em back to see what you guys think first??

Got a draft in a couple of hours...

starting lineup for an 8 team league.

1 qb / 1 rb / 2 wr/ 1 te / 2 flex (wr/te/rb) / 1 D / K

I have the 5th pick...

I am wondering if it would be wise to try to corner the market on TE's in earlier rounds to try to get the cream of the crop

OR

Just load up on RB's since you can start three.

Standard scoring / Non-PPR

Thanks

I'm a fan of taking Graham early, but in your shoes I'd prob go RB at least first. I was able to score Gronk in the third (I drafted third overall, snake draft), and that seems average for him. Assuming he stays healthy, he'll be a monster.

If the four guys ahead of you have any sense, then they'll take McCoy, Charles, AP, and Forte. If they leave ANY of those guys, snatch them up.

EDIT: I should add, if the four RB's I mentioned are gone by the time you get to your 5th pick, then I could easily make the case to take Graham of Megatron with my first pick if I were you.

I would think the cliff on the TE's is much greater than that on the WR's side...so if I was left to that decision...I would probably go Graham and look for a remaining RB like lacy...or if for some reason a stud QB like Manning is available do I go for him at 5 in the first round?

2WR + Flex? I may do the trade as Julio+Sanders are the obvious starters. 3WR + Flex and I probably wouldn't. No one really knows what the suspension will get dropped down to if at all.

Lacy shouldn't last to your next pick.. I'd probably go Lacy at 5 if the prior 4 RBs were taken.

Sorry that is what I meant...I would probably get a solid RB with the pool being so thin...and if a top TE was available after that grab them...

You're pretty stacked, man. Maybe not super strong at QB, but you're certainly not hurting either.

Thanks for the comment...once the top QB's all came down in the first round it was a no brainer where to go as far as I was concerned. I will kind of laugh if Manning has an off year in comparison to last year.

Side question...I haven't seen much news on Gordon...

Is it even worth drafting him? I drafted him simply because I was in an 8 team league and could afford it. In a 12 team would anyone consider drafting him still and if so where would you see him going?

That's a stacked team even for an 8 teamer. He, inexplicably, has two of the top 4 overall picks.

I don't like Gordon right now I wouldn't waste a roster spot on him with the impending suspension which should be for half the season. I certainly wouldn't trade cooks for him.

I would definitely take him and stash him because his upside is too great. If anyone I'd get rid of Romo and Reed and try to take a flier on a couple sleeper RBs or WRs. Really no need for a 2nd TE or 3rd QB. Honestly you barely even need a backup QB.

With the QB situation in CLE, I'm not sure Gordon even warrants a roster spot for this season.

Cooks could be a star, quickly in that offense.

Who played quarterback for them last year when he was the best WR in fantasy?

TBH, I don't know about gronk and at the time I got reed he was the best TE available...

I wanted the guy from the eagles but that fell through two picks before me...

I grabbed Romo for spot play basically for match-ups...he would be the first to get dropped if need be.

I got a draft tonight, new league. I am looking forward to it.

I am hoping for pick 5 or 6 for a shot at Lacy or Calvin.

My main league drafted last night. It's so hard to evaluate how it went...only time will tell. Time to start prepping for the AT leagues

I have two QBs with these week 1 matchups:
Aaron Rodgers who plays Seattle. Seattle has arguably the top defense
Big Ben who plays Cleveland. The Browns D is middle of the road.

Everyone says that I should stick with Rodgers and I probably will. But it is tempting to use Big Ben in week 1.
