Need some advice. With Reggie Bush probably not playing my RB2 is Chris Johnson this week (yuck). This is a ppr league. Should I drop him for any of the following RBs available:

Jonathan Stweart @ Bengals
Jerick McKinnon vs. Lions
Dexter McCluster vs. Jaguars
Bobby Rainey vs. Ravens
Storm Johnson @ Titans
Antone Smith vs. Bears
Darrin Reaves @ Bengals
C.J. Anderson @ Jets
Roy Helu @ Cardinals

I'm taking a serious look at dropping Chris Johnson for Rainey or Antone Smith.

I like Antone Smith and think he's the Zac Stacy for 2014. SJax is still a tank of a man and one helluva athlete but unfortunately not able to peform up to starting feature back level anymore and will miss seeing him do things like this from week 15 of last year:

The guy does literally nothing but score touchdowns. And how do you reward that? Give him approximatlely 1.08 touches a game.

Same thing with C'dell Patterson. Guy is freaking electric and gets like 3 touches a game.

FEED THEM THE DAMN BALL.

I tend to agree with you guys on Smith but in another forum every single reply has been Storm Johnson. I'm not sure why the hype is so strong there.....

Just to counter, cobb gets similar targets to Nelsen and IIRC, was the preferred target before he went out last year. KC isn't as good with the run blocking but is stronger in the run whereas Pitt has Big Ben and Brown and Dallas has Romo and Bryant. They have 2x the attempts, but realistically they also have 2x the games played compared to Charles.

Jones owner just declined a 1for1, syaing he is happy enough with his RB's to give up his #1 wr. Maybe I'm just over thinking things though.

Sent an offer of Kelvin Benjamin and Ahmad Bradshaw for Calvin Johnson.

Yes Cobb was the #1 only because Jordy was out/injured. Jordy is a superior talent and drawing most of the attention which is letting Cobb eat a ton, however when I said regression I meant that his current pace of TDs/yards is not statistically sustainable according to people smarter than me. Stranger things have happened but I like the other 2 WRs (Dez or Jordy) better if you can get them.

Not sure what you mean that KC is stronger in the run, they have 159Passing/145Rushing attempts. Dallas 159P/163R, Pitt 177P/135R. Dallas rushes the most of the 3, and Dez/Brown only help their running backs because teams won't stack the box out of fear. I'd rather have a RB in a high powered offense than one in a low powered offense that is predictable.

Yes, Murray/Bell do have twice the amount of games, but that makes them legit, whereas the only argument (excuse) for Charles' lack of performance is small sample size. There's no guarantee his #31 ranked Yards After Contact will go up to the top 4 level of Murray/Bell, hence my suggestion to unload him instead. Better to bet on a sure thing vs an unknown, right?

I like the KB + AB for Megatron offer although they probably won't do it.

To be fair sometimes he does not score a TD. For instance, he's only scored 2 rushing TD on 11 carries for 122 yards, and 2 receiving TD on 6 receptions of 156 yards. 11 YPC and 26 YPR is nothing to get excited about, amirite?

Anyone on the worst Offensive Line in football shouldn't be getting any hype. I think the only person who has overcome such shitty run blocking in the past couple years was Marshawn Lynch last year with the 11th worst run blocking, and Andre Ellington (7th worst). Maybe Storm Johnson will be an anomaly but there's a 99.5% chance he won't.

I'd take that deal if I owned Megatron. Sure Bradshaw is likely to get hurt but Calvin already is so it's a wash.

Well last year Megatron missed 2 games early and I poo-poo'd him, I even remember his owner fielding offers to trade him at around Week 7. He then went on to accumulate more yards than everyone not named Gordon or Brown, and that was including the crappy snow game in Philly. Anytime he plays he's a gamechanger, and giving up a lesser wideout and about-to-break RB, I'm for it.

Vernon Davis @ St. Louis,
or
Eric Ebron vs. Minnesota with a gimpy Calvin Johnson?

Davis has been crap this season but he's on my waiver wire and I need a bye week replacement for Jimmy Graham.

I would too, especially if I was sitting at like 2-3 or 1-4.

He is 3-2 actually. Our lineups for reference. My backup offer is something involving gronk or thomas. I need to get rid of one of them or I'll get heart attacks choosing between them and my RB's in the flex spot.

yeah, except you could probably find some useless PFF stats that show Calvin is a bum...

I'd take Ebron right now. Davis is still pretty banged up...depends on if/how much he practiced today.

Ingram should be back week 7, you can probably drop Peterson at this point and pick up one of the Denver RBs or Reaves. Hopefully you can snatch up Chris Ivory

I got Ivory so he will be starting for me this week. I was called an idiot for wanting to drop Peterson before, but at least I will be an idiot getting points this week and hopefully winning my game.

Pick 2
Terrance Williams (@ Seattle)
Larry Fitzgerald (vs Washington)
Jeremy Maclin (vs Giants)

Williams could see good numbers with Dez occupied and Fitz hasn't been lighting it up this year with the QB not even targeting him. Maclin has been a scoring machine except for 1 week.

Thank you Houston, for giving Hilton his first TD of the season, and 200+ yards.

does anyone else feel horrible for larry fitzgerald?

He had such an awesome visa commercial though! I guess this is what happens when you stick with your team instead of moving on. If it means anything, I picked him up to sit on my bench a few weeks to see if he will be serviceable if/when Palmer returns.

he's always a high draft pick for wr and i can never understand why. he's awesome as an athlete and as a person, but he's on the arizona cardinals... i mean, the cardinals are basically the nfc's version of the raiders... it's where players go to have their careers die.

I drafted him high two years ago and thinking back I don't know why.

He is on the trading block now and I'm still considering him.

Its just the fact we know what he can do, just never gets a qb or team to do it with.

Could use some flex advice:

With a lot of my players on bye or injured, my flex options on FA are Odell Beckham, Devin Hester or Reuben Randle.

I should mention that return yardage/TD's count in my league, but otherwise it's standard scoring ESPN.

Originally was going to go with Beckham. I think he's got more potential over Randle, but Eli does seem to love Randle in red zone looks.

Hester has a hamstring issue, but so far looks slated to play. Harry Douglas is out, so I can't help but wonder if Hester may have another night like he did a few weeks back against TB. Plus, Chicago was the one that cut him, so you gotta think Hester has a bone to pick with them. Revenge against former teams games seem to be good this year for WR's. Although I know that's not a quantifiable statistic to use in choosing a player, it certainly doesn't hurt in the motivation department.

Thoughts?
