A guy offered me Andrew Luck and Vernon Davis for Lamar Miller and Andre Johnson

Matt Stafford is my QB (on bye) and Martellus Bennett is my TE (on bye).
Miller is my #3 running back behind Matt Forte and Le'veon Bell.
Andre Johnson is my #3 wide receiver behind Julio Jones and Randall Cobb.
I'd use Odell Beckham Jr. and Denard Robinson to fill in my WR and Flex spots.

I'm in bye week hell this week with almost my entire starting lineup on bye, but I have enough depth to fill in all my empty spots. I'm in first place though and thinking playoffs. I figure Luck is a big upgrade over Stafford.

Thoughts?

Matthew Stafford

Julio Jones
Randall Cobb
Andre Johnson
Odell Beckham Jr.
Jarvis Landry
Martavis Bryant
Josh Gordon

Matt Forte
Le'Veon Bell
Lamar Miller
Denard Robinson
Darren Sproles

Martellus Bennett

You seriously have to question if you should trade for the #1 QB in FF and the #1 target in SF? You're not giving up a whole lot - hell, at this point you could move Stafford for another WR. DO IT.

This week a lot of people are in pain including our opponents. What shape is your opponent in?

6 teams are on bye. Some with VERY good players:
Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins

I hate when people reject trades because they want the world and don't get it proposed to them...

Listen, it's a trade... you've gotta give up something good to get something that will better benefit your team. It isn't a matter of whether or not you gave up something awesome, it's about whether your team is going to end up better after you see what your net gain is after the deal.

I never said I wanted the world. I just wanted a second opinion to make sure that I wasn't doing something dumb because I'm going gaga over luck's stats. Everyone agrees that it's a good trade so I pulled the trigger on it.

Luck is simply amazing this year. Or its because the big 3 isnt doing as great as expected.

Now find a trade for Stafford and gets decent backup for ur other spots.

Luck isn't amazing whatsoever. It's just that he consistently gets easy secondaries to play against. For the past three years, the Colts have had among the top 5 the easiest strength of schedule each year. He throws for a lot of yards and gets tons of interceptions. He's overrated as hell.

You were afraid you're giving up too much? What if someone said "nah, I don't like this trade"? It's your trade, not theirs.

Unless it's a super close trade, I think it's stupid to ask for other peoples' opinions just so you make up your mind, because youre worried you're giving away too much (even though you're obviously getting more in return for your team).

It's just annoying to those who make trades, that's all. Peoples' cognitive dissonance gets in the way, or they're too myopic or something.

He is amazing for fantasy, which is mutually exclusive from real life ability. Whether he is a function of his schedule or not only matters in that he continues to produce as a top 3 fantasy QB.

For real life, outside of the Pitt game without Vontae Davis for awhile they have been in every game including losses to tough opponents Philly and Denver. They are a contender, soft schedule or not.

Shut the fuck up eits, it's a fantasy football discussion thread and you're complaining about someone asking about a trade. What's next, "stop with all the sit/start questions, just make up your own mind."

And anyone who says the top scoring player in all of fantasy football is overrated as hell is not someone who should be giving fantasy advice.

So any reason for me to start Martavis Bryant over crabtree this week? Ppr league.

Both seem to be good red zone guys but not a lot of volume. Crabby hasn't been great but Bryant only has been decent for 2 games. Snap count goes to crabby, so thats where I'm leaning. I don't know about matchups

Both BAL and StL have bottom third graded Pass Coverages, and both Run D's are decent (good in BAL's case). However, BAL@PIT is a rivalry. However, it has a higher O/U with 48 vs 43.5 for StL@SF. Also, BAL has never seen much of Bryant and Ben could light it up somewhat.

The problem with the 49ers is they are spreading the ball around too much, for example Stevie Johnson blowing up last week or it could be Boldin/Crabtree/Davis this week. Your guess is as good as mine. So then I'd look at volume, and Crabtree is playing more snaps than Bryant but that could change for Bryant since he's so new. I think Crabtree is the safer play if you feel you're the favorite to win (higher floor), and go with Bryant (more BOOM potential) if you think you're already the underdog (higher ceiling).

Same questions as last week:

Brees @ CAR
Brady V Den

DEN is a much much tougher defense (currently top 3 graded defense) than CAR and Brees has the best RB on paper (Ingram). NO's line has Run Blocked extremely well vs Carolina's Run D which improved last week but still is bottom third. However, we have to take into account the consecutive road losses for Brees and the fact this is a TH night game with less time to prepare.

All in all I still like Brees because his road losing streak has to end soon, he looked great last week, and CAR is the much lesser path of resistance.

1, go fuck yourself.

2, i'm complaining about people who are second-guessing a no-brainer trade because they're afraid of losing a player they don't want to give away while wanting to gain a player. that's not how trades are done. far too few people understand how to actually trade in fantasy football... by your response, i'm assuming you're probably one of them. it's pretty easy to decide, "hmm... if i go through with this trade, will my team be better overall, even with the loss of an elite player?"

3, i have no problem with start/sit questions at all.

4, i was talking about andrew luck in actual football. sorry if i confused anyone. andrew luck is overrated in real-life football. in fantasy, he's solid (because he has easy as hell schedules, which make him very desirable).

i'd probably go with bryant. kaepernick has more weapons he can trust coming out of a bye week. big ben has found a new security blanket in martavis bryant. if antonio brown is double covered, which is very likely, since they're playing the ravens and they have a hurt cb, it's going to bryant before it goes to wheaton or miller.

but, then again, stl has the worst pass defense in the league...

tough call.

ultimately, i'd rather go with bryant... he's more reliable with big ben. kaepernick doesn't like relying on go-to players much anymore, it seems.

I'm already starting, Maclin, cooks, Andre Johnson.

I think I can afford the small gamble on Bryant at the flex. I had Cruz and crab tree in that slot before and they were boom/bust. Bryant should be no different.
