Pulled off a trade last night, my Andre Johnson+Martavius Bryant for Josh Gordon who plays next week. Our playoffs aren't until weeks 15/16 (top 4) so I'll get Gordon for 3 weeks before week 15. I have a good shot of making it (6th place atm, 4th in scoring) but something had to change because Andre Johnson wasn't getting it done. I'm not sure that Mallet will be the answer to AJ's poor season, but a new qb and bye week could turn things around. However, at the moment I need a sure thing and Gordon is a sure thing.

Sorry.

Rivers vs Oakland
Ryan vs Carolina

Reed vs Tampa
Donell vs 49ers.

I'm leaning on rivers and reed as well.

For your qb decision, let look at a couple of things. Who's playing at home, and what do the over/unders look like?

Rivers at home and coming off a bye with SD getting a lot of key players back on both sides of the ball such as Mathews and Manti Teo. As a result, he has more weapons at his disposal than Ryan. Rivers lit them up last time for 313/3td/0int and is coming off the worst game of his career... you can bet he's going to be a tad determined. Rivers has only been held to under 30 points at home once by KC.

Ryan is on the road and has never broken 30 points on the road once this year, and couldn't even break 20 @Tampa last week. O/U, ATL/CAR hold a 2 point edge at 46.5 vs 44.5 so that is close. Both defenses against are bad. All in all, I think Rivers is the clear choice.

Reed vs Donnell, I think you have to go with Reed simply from a talent and opponent standpoint. Donnell seems to be getting less targets now, as he only went for 4 catches and 26 yards last week vs Seattle and Preston Parker had 1 more target than him. The Niners are also getting Aldon Smith (beast pass rusher) back this week, so SF D could give Eli some trouble. All in all, don't overthink it and go with Reed.

Are you sure you're sure that Gordon is a sure thing?
Gordon has a better QB this year and finished top 3 last year with studs (lol) like Jason Campbell and Brandon Weeden throwing to him in 2013. He is a game changer and bonafide #1. Andre Johnson has caught 1 TD the entire year and M.Bryant's pace will eventually slow down (plus I got him off the WW as a Free Agent), he probably isn't going to score every week and is TD dependent as a part timer.

Speaking of waivers, I pulled a dick move this week by burning a waiver on RG3vsTB so my opponent couldn't use him against me while he's stashed on my bench. He picked up Eli vs SF, ouch. Should have planned better for bye week. Anyone else use waivers defensively?

Our league has a 3 pickup per week limit. That alone makes u plan ur bye weeks better. if ur qb,kicker and Def is on a bye, u can't go after top waiver guys.

But I've done it to someone I played. I grabbed all the TE and he was forced to L. Green from the chargers and he got next to nothing.

bryant is pretty solid, too. i'd bet on bryant before i'd bet on gordon... i haven't seen him catch a single ball all season, so i can't bet on him being an automatic starter.

eli will probably have a 2-3 td, 2 int game against sf. beckham plays way better than anyone expected and will draw a lot of coverage, opening the field up a bit for donnell and parker. i wouldn't count him out at all against sf.

I think you're underestimating how good SF is. They are #5 in graded Run D and #2 in Pass coverage and slightly better than Seattle. Their only weakness is Pass Rush and they just got back 2013's #5 Pass Rushing OLB in Smith. Not to mention Smith can stone the run as well, which means Eli will be forced to throw to shitty receivers like Randle (-1.6) and Parker (+0.4); Beckham/Donnell could get some but probably not enough to sustain drives. BTW Donnell really needs to learn how to run block, terrible.

I'm not betting on Eli under those conditions - I'd actually take my chances against bottom 1/3 defenses with McCown vs Skins secondary or Teddy vs the flailing Bears defense. Eli vs the #7 overall D would give me a heart attack.

Nice. Picked him up to start over Rashad. Can't believe he was still available.

Now for my flex...a limited Rashad over Beckham Jr., right?

Personally I like the browns. Plus side is foster is out and a new qb. Steelers are a safe bet tho, as I don't see anyway of them losing this game.

Jimmy Graham gets me 2 points and of course Donnell finally has a good week on my bench. I'll need to pick up a RB this week...Sankey isn't a great RB2 but at least Jeremy Hill has had 2 good games out of 3. Jonas Gray on NE is looking pretty good...

I was doing OK today and Emanuel Sanders left early then Dwayne Allen left early and now Bradshaw leaves early.

Now, I am up 12 points with my opponent having Antonio Brown left and I have the Steelers D. Fantasy football is wearing thin as my team has severely underperformed or someone getting injured again and again in my lineup. Last

Just one example from this year so far:

Last time I played this opponent I lost by around three points and it was the week AJ Green left early from his toe flaring up (questionable coming in to the game and they claimed he was fine when I had a suitable backup). I could have started someone else. I'm having a hard time catching a break in this league.

LeSean McCoy has been a waste of a first round draft pick this year.

Fuck this season.

Just like last season.

Solid trades and no brained trades ALL have screwed me over. My draft picks have either gotten injured and out for the season or close to it or turned out to be complete duds... Then, when I drop them for someone who's doing awesome, they show up to play and the guy I pick sucks balls. No matter what, I just can't win...

Least u didn't draft AP.

I just like fantasy football to talk trash to coworkers and friends but I've taken it less seriously this year. Mainly because this is completely random. There is maybe 10 people who have been solid constantly and everyone is flavor of the week.
