Who needs a WR? Pick 3:

Maclin
Beckham Jr.
Josh Gordon
Kelvin Benjamin
DeAndre Hopkins

Hopkins' relationship with Fitzpatrick looks pretty good, I'm really not sure who to go with this week.

Maclin will play Sherman so don't start him.

Yeah, I already have Maclin on the bench. Think I'll gamble on Hopkins as I need the upside...playing the #1 player in the league and she beat me by 50 last week (my team forgot to show up and hers went crazy).

Does anyone know if Fitz's beard is back this week? I might start him over Stafford, lol.

Yes, Julio Jones just popped off, but that was going against a consistently overrated Patrick Peterson who has given up 21 TDs since 2012, more than double Revis and Sherman. Peterson is not deserving of the hype and has a shitty PFF grade to boot (has hovered in the 90's all year). I think Jones will do ok vs Sam Shields but keep in mind that Shields is in the top 30 CBs, and GB has now moved into the top 10 in graded Pass Rush (#9) with a +7.1 against NE last week. Also, Green Bay's main weakness is stopping the run so ATL may try to capitalize on that. Additionally, it's going to be around 30 degrees and Matt Ryan sucks outside his comfy dome. This could very well be a trap game at Lambeau and I expect Green Bay to win. If they go up big, then there could be garbage time potential for Julio.

For Josh Gordon, one thing to monitor is Vontae Davis who is in concussion protocol right now. If Davis is out, then Gordon has a tasty matchup despite the fact that the Browns could switch QBs on him mid-game. If Davis plays, then it's a downgraded matchup but the rest of Indy's coverage sucks outside of safety Mike Adams.

Emmanuel Sanders will be facing Buffalo's best cover back (Corey Graham), who has only given up 16 fantasy points on the year. However, the Bills are somewhat stout against the run so Peyton could throw more. Sanders is pretty much matchup-proof and been successful against good defenses like Seattle, SF, St.L, and Miami, with the most targets (24) coming in the 0-9yard over the middle which could happen a lot due to Buffalo's good pass rush.

So all in all, I like Gordon and Sanders slightly over Jones who has a tough game on the road. Keep in mind Jones has been shut down on the road three times this year against MN (82 yds), Baltimore (56 yds), and Carolina (59 yds). His best game on the road was 88 yds and a TD which is still "meh". In contrast, Sanders' worst game at home? 77 yards. Small sample sizes but the difference between Sanders' worst game (77) and Julio's best (88/1) is close enough for me to give Sanders the nod. BTW I would also monitor the weather at Lambeau because there is 50% snow predicted for early Monday... if that front moves in early, then Jones is solid Do Not Start.

For DST, Minn vs NYJ is a no brainer, I'll be starting them in one league.

Thanks for the insight...I didn't go that deep into the stats but my initial gut feeling was the same about Julio's possible performance and that it is at Green Bay, at Night and it will be cold.

I'm freaking dead in the water. I went against culter,Murray and Bennett in a ppr league. I have Forte and 2 injuries (Ellington and Rashad Jennings ).

I quit, it was a good season.

93 vs 22. In a league that normally gets 135-145.

Cutler - 27.72
Jeffery - 21.50

Wow...all or nothing...three bears? or simply three players on the same team?

Not that I would totally disagree, but seems a little risky if they have a stinker obviously.

I had Forte going tonight and I was total FML...he had 2.9 points at half...way to get some garbage time! ended with 16

I normally don't do that, but I started with Culter and made trades that involved the other two. It's worked out well enough.

Yeah I had Murray in .5 point PPR. There's a good chance I'm knocking off the #1 seed since Bryant and Romo didn't blow up (who he has).

I need to pick between Herron@CLE, J.HillvPitt, MathewsvNE, Keenan (matchup: Browner = decent)vNE, and Colston (matchup: Colin Jones = good)vCAR for a RB and Flex. Right now leaning towards Mathews for RB2 and Allen for FLEX. PFF had this to say about Mathews:
The Chargers have seen fewer than seven men in the box on every carry the last two weeks, which has made it easier for Ryan Mathews to return to form as an RB2. Since his return from injury in Week 11, Mathews is actually the 14th best back in standard scoring. He’s also performed fairly well. In Week 13, he had -16 FAYE, but he’s still at 8 FAYE for the season on 62 carries. In contrast, Branden Oliver has -91 FAYE on 117 carries, nearly a yard over expectations less per attempt. That’s more what you’d expect from a typical back in the worst run blocking offense (-51.7) in football. That means Mathews should continue to dominate their backfield.

Hopefully teams will continue to back off of him, too, since Rivers remains a big threat despite his rib injury, but I wouldn’t count on it. Prior to the last two weeks, the Chargers had seen favorable fronts on no more than 72 percent of their attempts in any game this season. This week, the team faces the Patriots, who have allowed just five rushing touchdowns this season. I’d consider Mathews more of a FLEX option than an RB2 this week, but his workload should provide a decent floor.

I figure since it's a home game for SD, if NE shows up to play then Keenan will get more work than usual (despite Revis island, /sigh), and if SD gets a decent lead, then Mathews would get more work than usual to kill clock. So essentially hedging my bet since Demarco just blew up and gave me breathing room to be play "prevent". Also, Lacy just gashed New England for 98 yards, and their OLine aren't exactly Run Blocking world beaters. However, SD just reshuffled their OLine so it's a risk.

Regarding Herron, he got 75% of his carries with less than 7 men in the box because of Luck's dominance. So he could be an option as well, but not a true workhorse like Mathews. EDIT: Going with BOOM Herron! haha. SD's new line is too risky to fuck with in the playoffs.

I'll be honest, I went in on Forsett against everything the pros have said. Is he a journeyman? Yes. Is he more of a scatback, change of pace guy? Yup. He's never stayed somewhere more than a season.

I also live in Houston, where I've been able to watch Kubiak since he came here and I think his run schemes work well for a player like Forsett. He's not a guarantee, it really depends how Pierce does as well.

Called it.

So with questions about Roethlisberger's hand and a tough pass defense in Cincy, I struggle with whom to pick:

Roethlisberger v. Cincinnati
Newton v. New Orleans

You have to wonder what Newton will do on the ground. These are both divisional games, so they can go either way. Benjamin was shut down the last time NO played the Panthers, and Newton doesn't really spread the ball. I'd lean more towards Ben.

Yeah I'm struggling with my WR's...not that it's a bad problem to have but...

Demarious Thomas
Julio Jones
Josh Gordan
Golden Tate

.5 PPR, start 2 + flex. Flip flopping on Julio & Golden for the flex.

I think this comes down to if you think that Roddie White will play.

On the radio today they made the comment on the fantasy pro's site that he stated last year if he doesn't practice during the week he generally doesn't play.

He apparently hasn't practiced this week.

With that being said, they made the comment that he generally is true to his word and that leaves just Jones...which the Packers could take away.

I think the Lions are at home...and since Calvin Johnson had a huge game last week he might be the focus to try to shut down.

I would probably put in golden if I were in your shoes

Looks like Brandon Marshall may be out for the rest of the fantasy season.

Saw a report today he is on IR

two broken ribs and a collapsed lung. Scary stuff, not sure if it was so serious he got a chest tube or if it will resolve on its own but that is a wicked hit to cause that kind of damage

Another WR problem. Yay! Right now I have Hilton, Maclin, and Landry starting. What say you?

T.Y. Hilton @ Cleveland
Jeremy Maclin vs. Seattle
Jarvis Landry vs. Baltimore
Larry Fitzgerald vs. Kansas City
Andre Johnson @ Jacksonville
Eddie Royal vs. New England

The only reliable and consistent receiver is Hilton.

Dirty Sanchez has been throwing more to Jordan Reed than Maclin. With Seattle in the mix, it looks like he's benchable.

Landry I know nothing about, only that he's been getting a lot of looks the last few weeks.

Fitzgerald is not his old self anymore plus Stanton and the Card's offense has been suckin.

Johnson is not his old self anymore, but they are playing Jacksonville and he finally got a TD last week, but not many points.

Royal is too streaky, but Rivers seems like superman at home most of the time. However, will the Pats lose two in a row, even when they're playing Rivers at home?

This is certainly a tough one. I'd stick with your gut. Maclin will likely face Sherman, but I think I'd still go with him.

All season I had the easiest decisions ever on who to start. All of a sudden the playoffs are here, and I can't figure it out. SOMEBODY PLEASE HALP ME!

Guy I'm playing has D Murray so I'm down 40 points to start.

Need 2 from this list. PPR league.

T Mason @ WSH
G Bernard vs PIT
I Crowell vs IND
J Edelman @ SD
