Hey guys I will do the fan duel if there is still room. I haven't done it all year because paying attention to 5 leagues is enough but I'm only alive in 1.

People who pay attention to football and matchups?

I don't care what the matchup is with the Saints DST, they have been mostly garbage all season. Now that injuries have been piling up over the past month they could very well end the season as the worst fantasy DST.

Jimmy Graham has been so brutal, I mean i have to assume he's hurt or something. I won in spite of him and I made a trade to get him late in the season specifically so I could use him for the these playoffs. If he does this again next week it's all over for me.

KT

Graham has been a a pretty big let down for where he was drafted this season, I doubt he goes anywhere close to the first round next season.

It's speculated that his shoulder injury is still lingering and that he may be dealing with some other sort of undisclosed injury. Whatever is going on with him it has not looked good on the field. He was not getting any separation against the Steelers and his routes were sloppy. He had some brutal drops against the Panthers.

Why would anyone voluntarily play the Saints defense?

You were more or less fading the Panthers on the road. They were in the bottom 8, averaging 19 points per game with a shitty secondary. It was expected that NO would sustain long drives to limit T.O.P. for Carolina while potentially wrapping up the division. That didn't happen, Carolina played like their lives depended on it, something must have happened from the first time meeting (NO crushed em) to fire Carolina up.

It's similar to analysts recommending Tennessee this week, you are fading the Jets on the road. Geno could come up big but ehhhh, I'd bet on a pick 6 before he throws/runs for 3-4 TDs and wins away from home minus Percy Harvin.

Do I jump ship on Kap? I have Kelvin Benjamin and Josh Gordon on my bench - should I pick up Derek Anderson or Manziel and just put all of my eggs in one basket?

I'd jump on Kaep/49ers - looks like they've packed it in. Manziel has much higher upside, but Derek Anderson could be more stable - especially against TB.

It is the Saints defense. Would a Saints fan even recommend playing them against Jacksonville?

Frankly I am surprised you did not jump ship on him weeks ago. Manziel is such a risky option, I can't recommend starting him. Anderson had a decent game against the Bucs on the road in week 1 and is the much safer option. Keep in mind that Anderson might not start next week so you might want to go ahead and pick up Manziel or another QB.

Any intelligent ff player would play them against Jacksonville.

It's easy to make condescending judgements in hindsight, but the Saints were rated the #7 overall defense for week 14. I get my defense rankings from this guy on reddit who uses vegas spreads and other factors to get ridiculously good results:

Tre Mason, Chris Johnson or Shane Vereen at RB2?

Tre, he's the workhorse and is more likely to get touches than the other two. CJ?K is being used to less than his capability this year since the Jests can't decide if they like him or Ivory better. Vereen is a longshot to put up a ton of points but hasn't done much lately; gambling about which Pats skill player besides Gronk who will have a big day is a fool's errand.

Which defense would you play this week? 49ers, Jets, or Titans?

I like the Titans because they're the home team. Fucking up at home is just embarrassing, which is why it's more likely to happen on the road. Plus Geno without Percy on a team where it's in the national news today that the GM and head coach Ryan are likely to get canned. Also, the Jets best player on defense (Wilkerson) may not even play due to turf toe. If he doesn't go again (missed last 2 games), then the Oline can focus on nullifying Sheldon Richardson.

Both teams are dumpster fires but the Jets moreso. It has a good possibility of not a ton of points scored with a 42pt Over/Under, like a 22-20 final.

Yep, Tre even though the matchup isn't good. Ivory and Vereen are platoons. Ivory has a good matchup on paper but on the road, while Vereen has a subpar matchup on paper while at home.

Is Tre Mason actually legit? I can keep him next year as a 16 rounder.

Just wondering if he's going to pull a Zac Stacy next year.

I just picked up k. Davis in case J. Charles is out.. never know, but the fact that Mason is playing tonight is killer.

Anyhow, I just looked at his performances and Mason at home has been at least meeting projections even against good run D's. So, I think I'm sticking with him, but damn.. I hate Thursday Night. It puts fantasy owners on a short week to, lol.

It's tough, you just never know, but I would say Mason and maybe Forsett are likely good keepers.

For a 16th why not? Even if he's a bust it doesn't cost you much. Now if you had limited keepers and wanted us to compare the advantages of another potential keeper you should give us your other options.

The Saints were 5-7 going into the game. A defense that has gotten double digits once all year in ESPN standard scoring (@ Car, week 9). Their previous three games were:

Cin -2
Bal -1
Pit -2

Drew Brees has been starting slow in a bunch of games this year. I would not play them against Jacksonville. Some times you do not play a horrible defense even in a good match-up. His metrics did not work this past week. Go with your gut sometimes as it will pay off. Not a bad site for information, but I go elsewhere to get mine.

The Saints D-Coordinator is Rob Ryan. Do not forget this in the future.
