It was an auction league with a $200 budget. This was their draft. I can't tell if this strategy is genius or completely retarded, but this person currently sits in first place with the next closest person >100 points away:

1 Peyton Manning, Den QB $40
6 Marshawn Lynch, Sea RB $48
11 Vincent Jackson, TB WR $31
16 Jordy Nelson, GB WR $34
29 Julius Thomas, Den TE $31
60 Shonn Greene, Ten RB $1
94 Carson Palmer*, Ari QB $2
101 Broncos D/ST D/ST $2
108 Blair Walsh, Min K $1
132 Willis McGahee, Cle RB $1
138 Mark Ingram, NO RB $4
174 Andre Williams, NYG RB $1
181 Knile Davis, KC RB $1
186 Tavon Austin, StL WR $1
191 Alex Smith, KC QB $1
192 Ahmad Bradshaw, Ind RB $1

Ahh the "studs n scrubs" auction strategy. Risky strategy, but the strategy is definitely closer to genius than retarded...as the above indicates.

Yeah it was my first year in an auction league so I'm not use to draft strategy. Although I got great value and depth at every position, I still lost almost all my starters to injury, and this guy goes an entire season with his top 5 picks being in perfect shape. Yay fantasy.

That's basically what will win it for you.

I lost two RBs. One was Charles temporarily and the other was Moreno. Just shitty luck.

Still doing OK but there is one person in the league who is going to kill us all because of a lopsided traded in the first few weeks that no one voted against.

I currently have Hoyer and Flacco as my QBs. Flacco is on bye this week.

Avaialble on waivers are RG3 and Drew Stanton

What to do. What ... to ... do.

Right now I have waiver 1 in for Stanton to replace Hoyer and if Stanton is taken in front of me on waivers, I get RG3 in place of Hoyer. I currently am holding onto Flacco. I think I am playing it correctly.

Thoughts.

I'd go rg3 or sanchez if he's available.

Ugh, with a few key bye week players (most importantly, DeMarco Murray) plus the fact that I'm playing the hottest team in my league, this week isn't looking so hot.

Been holding on to Josh Gordon hoping that he'll come alive when it's playoff time...getting kind of worried.

Picked up Montee Ball since I'm thin on RB and had way too many WRs...was hoping to package something for a trade but just didn't see any openings.

Pondering a Shady for my 3rd round pick next year, 12 man league. Going to have to sleep on this. My current RBs are Murray/Mathews/Hill and suspended A.Peterson (will he come back?). He originally wanted 1st round but told him that's nuts for the #17RB. Trade deadline Friday.

Managed to get two deals done at the deadline. My roster before the trades:

QB - Jay Cutler
WR - Emmanuel Sanders
WR - Denard Robinson
RB - LeSean McCoy
RB - Justin Forsett
TE - Julius Thomas
W/R/T - Odell Beckham Jr.
Q/W/R/T - Ryan Tannehill
Bench - Reggie Wayne
Bench - Steve Smith Sr.
Bench - Martavis Bryant
Bench - Montee Ball
Bench - Cordarelle Patterson
Bench - Ryan Mallett

I managed these trades.

Emmanuel Sanders for Matt Forte
LeSean McCoy and Martavis Bryant for Demarco Murray and Alshon Jeffery

So that changes my lineup to:
QB - Jay Cutler
WR - Odell Beckham Jr.
WR - Denard Robinson
RB - Matt Forte
RB - Demarco Murray
TE - Julius Thomas
W/R/T - Justin Forsett
Q/W/R/T - Ryan Tannehill
Bench - Montee Ball
Bench - Steve Smith Sr.
Bench - Alshon Jeffery
Bench - Reggie Wayne
Bench - Cordarelle Patterson
Bench - Ryan Mallett

I think these moves really help me going into the playoffs, and give me better depth at RB.

Anyways, question - do I drop the #3 kicker in the league (Dan Bailey) during his bye or do I drop someone like Cordarelle Patterson? I think dropping a high scoring kicker might be a bad idea that bites me in the ass if someone picks him up.

The Shady/Bryant trade was straight up larceny - both players are better than what you sent. I know it's a 2 QB league but I'd drop Mallet (who sucks) in favor of a decent backup TE if one is on the wire.

Personally I would have kept Sanders since your remaining WR corps wouldn't frighten me if I were playing you, but understand why you did it. I don't think CPatt helps you and would drop him, but see what's on the WW to replace him after the bye - no way I'd drop Bailey.

Pretty happy with my roster right now.

QB - Luck
RB - Shady
RB - Jennings
WR - Julio Jones
WR - M. Evans
RB/WR - Beckham Jr.
TE - Gates
D/ST - KC
K - Bailey
BE - B. Cooks WR
BE - Donnell TE
BE - Stewart RB
BE - Hillman RB
BE - Decker WR
BE - Sturgis K (Bailey's on bye)

I'm trying to flip Donnell for something...not that he's worth much now. I'd like to find another RB with Hillman hurt and Ball coming back, but it's pretty thin...

I'm looking to next year. Bryant could be good keeper value.

The Shady/Bryant trade isn't that bad, actually - Bryant's projections are terrible, I expect him to continue to put up 15+ points and McCoy is a steady 12+ point guy. As they establish the passing game more, their run game will open up. But it was basically a keeper trade - I did the same trades last year when I was out of the playoffs.

Should I start Pierre Garcon or Mike Wallace for Week 11?
Garcon has a higher over/under by 3~ points and a much weaker defense. He faces a pitiful secondary (Banks/Verner/Johnson) most likely matched up against the burnable Banks. The only concern is that the Skins blow them out and then kill clock.

Wallace is facing a better overall secondary (McKelvin/Gilmore/Robey) but McKelvin will most likely be on Wallace and he is as burnable as Jonathan Banks (above). Gilmore at Right corner and Robey defending the slot are much better than McKelvin but should be covering Hartline and Landry for most of the game. The Dolphins will want to exploit McKelvin as the rest of Buffalo's D is stout and they should stop the run. Keep in mind that Buffalo rounds out the top 10 in graded pass rush so Tannehill may not have a lot of time for routes to develop for Wallace.

All in all, Garcon is the safer play since Tampa has arguably the worst defense in the NFL and the over/under is higher. Wallace has more upside since it will most likely be a defensive-minded game (o/u = 42.5) and he will actually have more valuable time vs Garcon who could play in a blowout. So play Garcon if you're favored, Wallace if underdog with nothing to lose.

I just got this trade offer. I have Darren Sproles and Owen Daniels. They will give me Coby Fleener and John Brown.

I need WRs since my WRs: Andre Johnson, Pierre Garcon, and Malcom Floyd have not been playing the way they need to be. My TEs are Antonio Gates, Vernon Davis, and Owen Daniels. My RBs are Le'Veon Bell, Mark Ingram, Lorenzo Taliaferro and Darren Sproles,

What do you guys think of the trade?
