Personally I like Love and he's a good fit for LeBron, but he put up volume numbers for bad teams. I think the jury is still out on whether he's a true superstar level player. If the NBA doesn't block the trade, we'll find out within the next 2 seasons.
Lol D-Rose has had major knee injuries, but the Cavs have just as many what-ifs? I'm not saying the Cavs are a title contender. I am saying that LeBron now paired with Love can at least carry them through the East. Even before the trading Love to Cleveland scenario was floated, bookmakers had already installed the Cavs are predominant favorites in the Eastern Conference. This really isn't rocket science, Thibs gets the max out of his players in the regular season, but they haven't shown themselves to be true title contenders. Even with an MVP-winning D-Rose a few years ago. I realize the team has been retooled since, but it's easy for Bulls fans to be optimistic when everybody is tied 0-0 in the standings.
smackababy, Part of the motivation for the trade is that LeBron is 29. His athletic peak will last about 3 more seasons. Since Wiggins is a very raw talent, it could take longer than that for him to become a star, if he ever does.
