Steelers say Le'veon Bell will not play against the Ravens.

Their "next man up" at RB is a guy with 9 carries in his career, Josh Harris. Although they recently signed Ben Tate, he's expected to be a backup. They also have rookie Dri Archer who is a diminutive 5-8", 175 pounds but a speedster.

It's one thing to have to play your second-string RB, it's another when your backup is essentially a practice squad guy.

I don't think the Steelers can pull it off without Bell unless their defense plays above and beyond.

Well, Bell was such a large percentage of their ground attack (I think I saw a stat where he account for 95% of their total rushing yards, DeMarco Murray was only at like 65% IIRC for the Cowboys and was either 2nd or 3rd), so Bell missing the game really impacts their offense. It is going to be put all on Big Ben's shoulders. And while he certainly has the ability, will the Ravens allow it? They know they don't have to stack the box. Tate is a career backup and Harris has zero experience.

I believed with Bell, the Steelers destroyed the Ravens. Without him though, I think it is going to be a close game.

Suh hurts people on accident on purpose. He's a borderline HOF-level player, but he's also a total fuckstick. If the NFL wants to seriously protect their star quarterbacks (and by extension the game as we know it today), suspend asshole boy for multiple games and don't back down. Numb feet? Can't tell when he suddenly steps three inches off the ground? Didn't know to the femtometer where AARON RODGERS was, in the NFC North Championship game? Please. Suh is super smart and knew exactly what he was doing. The aura of disrespect for others is probably worse than the physical stuff.

I can't believe they could not find a better QB than the 2 3/4th stringers they have. Their latest QB draft pick was so bad in practice they benched him before he could even start.

Hahaha they could have called up a rusty Brett Favre and been FAR better off than with Lindley. Fitz is making Lindley look slightly better than worthless, but it's a mirage.

Ryan Lindley has less than 50yards throwing and 2.3yards average per throw. Talk about missing Carson Palmer.

Yea, kinda LOL@ Tomkin's hard-asse'd approach to the Blount situation, a FB takes a pounding on every play, if he's not carrying he's blocking (or trying to block) a LB or DE so it's always a good idea to keep two on the roster.

Yep, bet he's kicking himself now. If anything, drop him and replace him in the offseason, not in the run to the playoffs. It was tempting fate. Depth is ever important in the National Injury League.

both defenses playing great, panthers offense has had a couple great plays but somewhat struggling otherwise to get a consistent ball moving approach. cardinal's offense just non existent.

Between Lindley & the special-teams play (read: punter) the Cards were just terrible.

bears wont cut him. no way. they will use him next year before doing that. He has a 6 million conversion clause that gives them the opportunity to covert that into a signing bonus making him much more palpable at 9 million a year. I can see them eating the six million not the whole thing. No way.

Cutler still has tons of value hello Cardinals...


I bet the bears get a second rounder for him.
