Both teams would be assured a spot to move on and the US would need a miracle to get a 4 goal differential to take the #1 spot. I could easily see both teams doing just about nothing the whole game.

Just remember that money goes to the FA. So the actual amount going to the players is going to be a bit lower. Plus split that 30mil between 23 players, coaches, staff, ect and it doesnt sound like as much

But besides that money the promotions and endorsements bring is probably more than enough to not care about what FIFA pays the clubs anyways

Interesting article, apparently if Spain would have won this year's WC they would have gotten $720k Euro's (20% more than in 2010) per player.
