I realize this isn't american 'football' but germany is on pace to outscore the Cincinnati Bengals average output.

90 minutes / 29 minutes = 3.1
5-0 / 1-0 = 5
3.1 * 5 = 15.5
USA is 15.5x the better team than Brazil.

I think anyone other than brazil patriots who thought they were capable of winning this WC were no less than delirious to begin with.

I thought the downtime after a goal was added to stoppage time. Obviously if only 1 minute was added after 5 goals, I was wrong. But it makes no sense because they will never end a game during that "down time after a goal".

I wish they would just stop the clock during this time to take away the opportunity for misusing it which I do believe happens.

Good thing Germany slowed down a bit, I was feeling embarrassed already
Can you imagine what it must be like for the players right now? This is the kind of thing that is so bizarre it doesnt really sink in until a while after the fact

I dont even know what Scolari could possibly tell them

Looks like the 2:0 really made Brazil's defense choke up, and the lack of Neymar is also tangible.

Currently it looks like Germany has reduced the attack somewhat - as they should, they can now start saving forces for the final.
Maybe after the break Brazil can start fighting back, especially if the Germans leave them some room, but 6 goals worth? No way.

How many people will get murdered in Brazil today/tomorrow?

Can you imagine the 3rd/4th place game on Saturday, this is going to be a national crisis like 9/11 down there and I don't think any player is going to feel safe playing for that game.

Neymar would've had 3 touches in that first half, LOL. Losing their captain and defenseman, Silva, is much more pertinent to the thrashing they took.

I'm still sitting here in half disbelief as to how that went. About to head out to dinner now that I'm not concerned about the second half...heh.

These are all massive defensive fuckups, fueled by German midfield domination. I don't think Neymar would have made any difference here.

Neymar removing any serious counter attack threat would stop people from being brought forward. Eh, this sucks for Brazil, but what can you do? Glad I decided to not go to the WC. Russia is looking much nice, although, I know for certain I am going to Qatar.

My idea was to sleep 2,5 hours and watch the game. I woke up 45 minutes late to find Brazil Germany with a 0 - 5 score.

I feel bad for that poor kid on TV--the one collecting his own tears in his beverage cup. I assume he is already internet famous.

I wish. He spent all his student grant on this bet. I pray to god he will win! hence why I'm asking here just wondering how Argentina are doing and whatnot.

Tell him to get used to instant noodle. And this is from an Argentina supporter.

Oh, you mean Neymar's counter-attacking threat would have prevented the German defense from moving so far forward. I suppose, but I think not having Silva, as EvilYoda suggested, was the bigger loss.

Yup, the loss of Thiago Silva is telling.
