Dion Lewis with torn ACL and done for the year.

The Bills fan in me smiles a little smile.

The football fan in me says, "Sucks to see yet another ACL."

And begrudgingly, "Sucks to see the pats lose possibly the best, most consistent all around RB they've had in probably forever."

But then I become a Bills fan again...

Hope the dude gets another chance as he's really amazing to see in action. Dude has some sick moves and he and Tyrod would make a great pair since you gotta know Shady isn't the answer for you.

Lewis signed a multi-year contract extension with NE a few weeks back, he'll be back for NE next year.

Dion Lewis signed with the Colts in 2014. He was cut a week later. If that isn't an indictment of Grigson and the coaching staff, I don't know what is. Remember, Trent Richardson was given a roster spot over this guy.

Wow, huge upset. What a moronic thing for Talib to do right in front of the Ref's, "I'll just poke him in the eyes, who's gonna see that?". If I were a Denver fan I'd be pissed as hell, they would have had a shot at scoring, that PM guy is pretty good.

Talib is reportedly being given a one-game suspension for that. He's appealing the suspension. But I think since it cost his team one game, it should cost him one game's salary, and he should take it like a man.

Karlos Williams is though, provided he can stay healthy. He's definitely got concussion risk written all over him with his first NFL concussion knocking him out for 3 weeks (third career concussion).

Lewis was amazing to watch but I guess he's just injury-prone. The smaller guys that can shake and bake all seem to be at risk for knee injuries. I remember Welker having the EXACT same thing happen to him. Speaking of Welke,r the Rams just signed him to a deal, things are getting desperate indeed. Of course the Pats had the option to match the offer to Vereen @3.5 mil/year the Giants are paying him now but Kraft balked at that. Gee RK, guess you didn't notice Vereen's performance in the SB, without him catching the ball out of the backfield those two 4th Qtr drives don't happen.

That's kinda sick, really. There were games when PM was just killing our D, to the point that Bill B went for a 4th and 1 at his own 30 yrd line just to try and keep Manning off the field (it failed), Indy won. At no time though would I have smiled if his season came to an end due to injury, if we were not good enough to stop him so be it, but I could never "smile" when I hear of an injury like that.

I think appealing is a really dumb move, because it won't work. He'll probably be able to drag it on for a couple weeks and then be forced to sit out of the Patriots game where we'd need him. Take your suspension now against KC, or even Chicago

Then he comes up with this gem,

"They're entitled to discipline me. I think I deserve discipline,'' Talib said Monday in the Broncos' locker room. "I didn't initially poke him in his eye, but as you could see, I did get his eye. It was unintentional. They've got the right to discipline me as they did.''

Huh?, "unintentional"?, you jammed your fingers at his eyes and scored a direct hit, "unintentional"" not found.

*shrug*

Don't get me wrong, I hate seeing all the injuries, especially all the ACL's that happen year in and year out. It's something that definitely needs to be looked at, and definitely something that Lewis didn't deserve (looked like a non-contact injury at that, so sucks even more). I never ever wish ill will on any player. Never would I ever condone a Tanya Harding on a player and definitely the speediest of recoveries to any player that goes down. It's their career on the line after all.

Anything that causes the pats and their fans angst though, I'm completely okay with. I'm good with that pinch of salt.

Onto other topics... Luke McCown to IR for back surgery for unknown reasons all of a sudden? Saints are in like Flynn.

When I look at it full speed, I could ALMOST buy that he just wanted to get hands on his face or something... but that doesn't change the fact that he came out of nowhere to start something that he wasn't involved in.

I think he tried to put his fingers on the guys forehead and push it. You hardly ever see a two fingered eye poke aimed at one eye. If both fingers split and went for both eyes then thats definitely intentional.

Wow now this is some awesome trolling; name the guy who broke Geno Smith's jaw as the Bills captain for their TNF game with the Jets.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2587662-ik-enemkpali-to-serve-as-captain-for-bills-vs-jets

Rex does this all the time. Back against Miami during their first meeting this season, Buffalo's team captains were Richie Incognito, Dan Carpenter and Charles Clay.

Against the Jags, Rex sent out a trio of offensive lineman, a nod to former Bills head coach, now offensive line coach for Jacksonville, Doug Marrone.

Back in preseason when everybody was talking about the mess of a QB situation Buffalo had, for the third preseason have he trotted out all four QBs as captains.

It's a meaningless gesture these days.
