Strangely enough the game between the trainwreck and the dumpster fire was the most interesting game I've seen this year. And the right team won. Go dumpster fire!

That was a lot of fun to watch having no investment in either team. Living in New England, games get boring.

Please don't say you're a Pats fan. This is such a ridiculous statement either way, but coming from a Pats fan makes it so much worse.

I still get nervous when watching Super Bowl highlights...from February. The Jets game was in doubt until about a minute left. Yes some games have been multiple score wins, but they are never, EVER boring. A win is NEVER boring.

My goodness how spoiled.

Nope, I'm not a Pats fan. I'm a lifelong Bills fan. I can see how my post could be perceived that way, sorry. The Pats game that is always on here just isn't exciting to watch for me.

a blowout is pretty boring, AKA Yesterdays game - I turned it off at 1/2 time

Wow, huge upset. What a moronic thing for Talib to do right in front of the Ref's, "I'll just poke him in the eyes, who's gonna see that?". If I were a Denver fan I'd be pissed as hell, they would have had a shot at scoring, that PM guy is pretty good.

Aqib is a fucking douchebag.

Yup, absolutely classless

We've had a number of games where the defense had really stupid penalties that cost big plays, yet we managed to win. I think with how good they were playing they were allowed to get away with being less disciplined. I hope the coaching staff gets them back on track because they can't afford to make stupid mistakes.

Also, Indy seems to be Denver's kryptonite for another year. They took us out of the playoffs in a shocker last year, and I'm pretty sure they also dealt us our first loss in 2013 too.

I believe Indy and Denver have played 4 times since Luck was drafted and the Colts have won 3 of the 4 and IIRC, the Colts' loss was in Denver and was pretty close. You're also right that the Colts have handed the Broncos their first loss twice now.

Seems like there is less parity between teams this year than has been as far as I can remember.

Crazy at how well Brady is playing with all the injuries to his line. He played with a left offensive tackle who had never played that position before.

When the Patriots began the second half on Sunday, center Bryan Stork was at right tackle and Cameron Flemming was protecting Brady’s blindside. The latest shuffle came after starting left tackle Sebastian Vollmer had left the game at the end of the second quarter with a head injury. This came after injuries to previous left tackles Nate Solder and Marcus Cannon.

Flemming, who has spent time on the Patriots’ practice squad during the 2015 season, had never played left tackle at any level, from high school to the NFL.
“I didn’t really think of it until everyone was asking,” Flemming said of playing left tackle for the first time in his career. “I was just like, ‘Protect Tom.’ The blindside, the right side—it didn’t really register to me. I just got to keep the quarterback clean.”
The makeshift offensive line allowed no sacks on Sunday, and Brady finished with 299 yards passing, two touchdowns, and an interception. That turnover came before the injury to Vollmer.

I don't think I've ever seen so many dropped passes on a single Sunday. The Pittsburgh/Oakland & SF/Atlanta game and others just had so many damn dropped passes. It's fucking embarrassing, you get paid millions of dollars yet they were dropping passes like the balls were WD40'd up.

Blaine Gabbert wins a game, I feel more sorry for the Falcons rather than proud of the 49ers to be honest. Also to further my dropped passes point, Kaep comes in for what 3 plays, throws a good deep ball and I think the TE drops it. Can't stand seeing dropped passes that should be automatic, I'm not talking about laying out diving or one hand shit, I'm talking hits you in BOTH hands in the numbers and you aren't even being hit yet.

Panthers look to be a team that will make a deep play off push. Also Woodson on the Raiders is playing with some old man strength or something, he's literally trying to will the defense to win at his age and injuries, gotta give him credit for staying out there with half a body. Finally do the Colts always beat the Bronco's just because they know how to play vs. Manning?? It just doesn't compute.

Don't watch many Eagles games, do you?

I have conceived a rather intense dislike for the way Mr. Newton carries himself.

I'll get over it.

Or not.

I do, but like every game I saw had multiple drops. I felt if we took Sunday's drop pass rate and applied it to center to QB snaps, we'd see a fumble every other drive doing that exchange.

Not only do the Eagles probably lead . . . THE KNOWN UNIVERSE . . . in catchable drops this season, but center Kelce continues to hike 'em low and hike 'em high, even in Sunday's game, where they went unremarked upon by the commentators.

On the subject, I remember taking a bunch of informal reps from our HS QB, as in HS, not college or the NFL, and, DAMN, that ball came in hot and hard. Catching those suckers isn't as easy as it looks from the living room Barcalounger.

I've been trying to figure that out. I think almost all of the coaching staff in Indy is different than when Manning was there, so I don't think that would be the reason. Plus that's only half the game, Indy's offense also managed to do damage to a defense that's played really damn well... so I'm not sure how that happened either.

Catching a football is easy, I played for a very good team in high school team and could have played on a crap college team as a TE(ya ya, 4 touch downs single game ya ya /Al Bundy), it's about focusing on the task at hand, keeping your eyes on the ball, ALL the way in, protecting it THEN thinking about your up field moves. People take catching it for granted end up dropping it.

World class athlete that's dedicated a good part of his life to catching balls is not the same as a kid playing catch with a high school QB. It shouldn't be a stretch to expect a professional receiver to catch, as that's what they've chosen to do for a career.

All I remember is those bullet throws unexpectedly stinging my wittle, wittle hands. It was a revelation. As a kid, I played a ton of pickup touch football and even pickup tackle football (with no pads or protection -- yeah, we were crazy), but no one was zinging that pumpkin like that kid was.

They do it day in and day out and have been for years, there's no excuse. It's not like we are comparing a HS calibrate player to catch cannon passes from a top 5 NFL QB, we are talking equal levels of athletic experience.

It is the honeymoon period for their new offensive coordinator, Rob Chudzinski. Let's see how long it lasts but regardless, they did play well against a top-ranked defense.

I think certain teams just match up well against other teams and give them fits regardless of win/loss record. For the Colts, they always seem to beat the Broncos and Ravens. The Steelers seem to be the team they generally can't beat.

I still don't think it's as eazy peazy as it looks from the Barcalounger. Professional athletes, as skilled they are, are still fallible human beings just like the rest of us. When, through a more up close, ground level camera, you see the speed and intensity of the pro game . . . dayum!

The rest of us get to sit back and demand perfection. Perhaps robotic exoskeletons will bring this to us? In the meantime, Josh Huff just dropped another one.

People care way too much about what he (or anyone for that matter) does in his offtime

Any other typical player and you'd be correct but JFF was already in rehab so drinking and partying directly impacts his future career prospects. Couple that with less than amazing performance on-field so far and that may have a lot of impact on the future of him and the Browns. Who as of now would get the 2nd pick of the 2016 draft with which they might yet again draft another QB.
