Funny how the Colts coaching staff and GM have an excuse for this season.

Nothing saves a job better than key players being injured, and a QB carousel afterwards.

Lol Minnesota. Too bad both teams couldn't agree on a warmer neutral site that no one will be using. Texas stadium maybe?

Wilson played in Madison for a year, so not too worried there.

Granted: never in January, iirc.

The linemen will likely play without sleeves as they usually do. WO gloves have been infused with fabric-based stickum for at least 5 years now, so cold hard balls is probably less of a concern than it ever was, no?

I could see every wild card team winning it this week. Crazy.

certainly.

and with the exception of Green Bay, I think all are legit SB contenders. Still, GB could maybe, somehow, pull off a run...but they've been playing like shit for a month+ now whereas the Skins have been playing great. No way GB gets past Seattle or Arizona, though.

I'm sure the players will be able to warm up pretty well on the sideline. I feel bad for the fans though. I went to school at North Dakota (when they played outdoors), and we didn't have any games where it was below zero that I recall. Brutal.

Think I'm 11-1 or 10-2 on the first weekend over last three years.

Have absolutely no idea who i'm picking yet for this weekend. All but one game I have as 50/50.

Who's your lock, KC?

All I care about is hoping the SeaHawks lose, followed up closely by hoping Denver wins it all and PFM can ride off into the sun set.

not a fan of how EVERYONE (not just dc homers, but national analysts and football "experts") are picking the redskins. i liked it better when they were under the radar and had no expectations. while they are still "playing with house money" i feel there may be more pressure on them than i had hoped.

They have the best draw that they could hope for, I think. Both teams have been on opposite trajectories the last month.

Still, it's a different world in the playoffs and maybe I'm too jaded because of the Norv years, but I expect failure.

added to that, there is that pesky Aaron Rodgers. However ineffective he has been lately, it's always a fools game to ever assume a guy like that can't beat you in any given game.

yeah i know they have the best draw, but people are talking like the redskins are playing the titans or some team that they are just expected to mop up. it's like they completely forgot that they are playing the packers, who make the playoffs pretty much every year, oh and they have that guy at QB, what is his name again ... AARON FUCKING ROGERS!

i'm going into this like it's a coin flip. i don't want to get my hopes up because in the end, this is the redskins we're talking about here. i realize this is also a redskins team that we've not had in a VERY VERY long time, personel wise, talent wise, and culture wise, but still, there is just no way i can go into it EXPECTING a win like everyone is doing.

i don't care that the packers have gone 4-6 in their last 10, and that they are riddled with injuries, and that they scored 21 points COMBINED in their last 2 games, and that the skins are averaging 35 in the past 3 games. this is the playoffs and it's a different beast, and they are going up against who could arguably be the best quarterback to play the game when all said and done.

This is almost like Elway's last season. He had to sit out 4 games or so due to injury, then by the end he decided the lost time was telling him it was only going to go downhill from there. Not sure if Manning has the same thought process, but it's probably something to consider.

yeah, the redskins are free rolling.

-they made it to the playoffs because of their weak division. (9-7 wins the division?!)
-They get a sweet draw and play the packers instead of the seahakws for Round1 because the Vikings weren't thinking about strategy.

the Vikings for whatever reason decided to win the last game of the season, even tho they clinched playoffs already.
if they instead played their 3rd string/ball boys, they would be playing the packers instead of the seahawks.

and the redskins would be playing the seahawks instead of packers.

Lets see how far good fortune will carry them.
it would be ironic if Cousins is injured and RGIII wins the Superbowl.

What will Dan Snyder do then?
Will anyone trade away a QB that just won hias team the Ring???

Dalton ruled out, Deangelo Williams out, and PFM named the starter. The air might be thin in Denver but it sure will be full of INTs.

that's bad

Yeah, Fitzgerald Toussaint or Jordan Todman probably ain't going to scare the Bengals much. Maybe they can run Vick at the wildcat and see what happens? Or hell, they're the Steelers just chuck it to Antonio Brown 30 times, another 12-15 each to Martavis Bryant and Markus Wheaton. Might not work but sure as hell would be entertaining, a lot more so than watching the Battle of the Marginal Starting NFL QB in the KC-HOU game.

What is everyone cooking to eat during this weekend's playoff games? Thinking of wings, or chili.
