Manning and Brady will meet again for another epic game!

Y'know, what I love about this post season is that there is strong potential to have a very unpredictable Pats/Panthers Superbowl, though I prefer the Cards to play for a championship.

What's more exciting to me is that I don't have to worry about the "experts" slobbering all over Carroll and the Seahawks.

Nerd stat:

Cam and Carson are the first two Heisman winners to start at QB in the playoffs in NFL history, in the same game.

I can't see any sane person picking the Broncos to win, and certainly not the SB.

I'm glad that regardless of who wins, at least the NFC will be a team nobody really expected to get to the SB at the start of the season.

Based on last year, you didn't think with a healthy Palmer, Arizona didn't have a chance?

Not that they didn't have a chance. Maybe "not expected" wasn't the right term... I guess I'm just glad to not have Seattle again. I like when different teams get there each year.

I'm rooting for Fitz to finally get the ring Big Ben stole from him.

I see where you are coming from.

For me personally, I don't want to see NE playing again in the SB, but I don't think Denver has a shot to beat them.

I'm fine with either team from the NFC seeing how Seattle is done and out. I'm happy with a Seachicken-less SB.

I'd love him to get a well deserved ring. I'd also love for both SJax and CJ?K to both get rings after being stuck on crappy teams most of their career but alas that's impossible.

i'll be happy with anyone winning the SB to be honest.

NFC teams i'll be cool with just because both teams deserve it and have had great runs and both teams are likable.

denver because it would be cool to see peyton get one last ring on his way out, although i think this is the least likely scenario.

pats because i would LOVE to see them stick it to the NFL after the huge scandal that deflategate turned into and how fucking pointless the whole thing was.

Manning vs Brady is one of the epic QB battles of all time. Probably only rivaled by Marino vs Kelly.

In my mind, there's no question that Brady wins.

However...If we're talking about Manning vs Brady...

vs

No question, Manning wins.

For what it's worth, I think this will be Broncos and Cardinals in the Superbowl.

Let's do a quick survey to see how everyone ranks the SB matchup combinations (ARI-DEN, ARI-NE, CAR-DEN, CAR-NE). Here's mine:

1. CAR - NE: Two very balanced and evenly matched teams should make for an entertaining game and more importantly, little chance of a blowout. One QB who's still on top of his game and hoping to stake his claim as GOAT. Another who's potential is finally starting to be reached and ready to stake his claim as an elite of the game. Good coaching and solid skill players on both sides should mean no WTF plays or endings to this game.

2. ARI - NE: Two superb offenses duke it out against solid but not elite defenses. Brady, Gronk, Edelman, and Amendola vs. Palmer, Fitz, Brown, Floyd, and a solid RB corps with CJ?K potentially back in the mix. No matter who wins a lot of deserving people will get rings.

3. ARI - DEN: Two teams with lots of questions on offense based on last week's games. Could make for a sloppy game if Palmer and PFM/Osweiler injuries are factors. Two strong defensive teams going at it rarely makes for compelling football.

4. CAR - DEN: I quite frankly don't see this as a competitive game. In fact, if PFM was the starter he might spend enough time running for his life or on his back he might not finish the game. I'm not his biggest fan but I don't want to see him end his career with a life-changing injury either; I don't know if his neck can withstand a few doses of Luke Kuechly and Jared Allen.

If we see Eli in the Super Bowl again, I'll just assume we'll lose. Those were some heart breaking loses.

Some of you guys are nuts. Broncos have the #1 D for a reason, they're fast, get to the QB and have the best starting CB tandem in the league. NE has no running game right now, the whole focus will be on Gronk and Edelman. And while the Denver offense has had it's issues, it certainly does enough to win and Manning has proven he can be counted on when the team needs him most, as has been evidenced the last two games. Broncos win...easily.

So are you basing the prediction strictly on their defense, or do you think they finally get their offense woes sorted also?

Strictly on the defense. The offensive woes (most of which this last weekend were related to dropped passes) won't necessarily be sorted out, but the offense will not lose the game for them. they will move the ball and move it often.

sorry, but their 5 field goals yesterday, and a td off of the only turnover in the game, does not convince me they will be able to score enough to win against the pats. the eye test definitely leans in favor of the pats.

If they continue to drop passes like that, I agree. But I haven't seen that many dropped balls from so many different players most of the year, so I'm hopeful that was a fluke that we managed to overcome. Denver's defense will keep it closer than most people here are thinking, and I also think people are undervaluing home field advantage. Both of these QBs like to communicate before the snap, which is very hard when an opposing crowd is screaming at you.
