the offense kind of went back to the way it was at the beginning of the year. the 90's indians hitting was so much better, but their pitching was worse back then.

Still shocked that the NYY took that series, I had CLE pegged as the AL representative in the WS. On top of that, they beat the Indians while Judge and Sanchez struggled. When it come to baseball playoffs it really is a crap shoot; you never really know what to expect. Case in point, watching the Cubs lose 4-2, in comes Scherzer and I'm thinking it's over. Cubs end up batting around him and taking a 7-4 lead.

I agreed then and usually do, but I can't hang last night on Dusty. He pretty much did everything you are supposed to do in that game. You don't expect your guy Scherzer to get shelled like that, certainly not after an easy, quick, 2 outs. And you can't really pull him before the inning closes. Dusty isn't responsible for the wild pitch and the bizarre catcher interference. And Cubs almost helped him out, anyway.

It was a great game, and I actually kinda feel bad for the Nats (holy shit--4/6 failures to advance?), and even Dusty for this one.

But I got over it.

these last 3 games have been so freaking depressing

IIRC Astros are the new Cubs.... they haven't won a world series in all of their existence (50+ Years) and now take the crown as longest running without a WS win. (edit: Nevermind, looks like Cleveland is now #1 with Texas Rangers at #2)

Side note, fuck Dodgers that are 3-0 going into tonights last cubs game of the season. I was really holding out hope for my cubbies, but their pitching is just atrocious - both starters, relievers, and closers. Plus their hitters have completely flaked.

Last nights Astros/Yankees game was awesome, not due to the game but because it was on the 4k channel and it didn't have commercials. The Dodgers/Cubs game was blurry and had commercials so it sucked by comparison.

At best these seem 720p. Been using my ooooooold login from my mother's cable provider to stream it online directly from FS1. It cycles between HD and like 320x200. Overloaded or something, later the game gets the worse it gets. Actually works better to find a stream like you said, pretty sad.

I'd pay a small fee to watch each game in perfect 4k.

MLB and TV station execs are probably praying for a Yanks Dodgers series due to the iconic franchise status and their link in history. Cubs Yankees would probably be just as big, but I hate to say it., probably not going to happen unless the Cubs all of a sudden find 3 other lock-down relievers and start hitting like crazy.
