I think oil company stocks will be the best investment of 2017.

2017 already? By the looks of it, DOW to 30,000 and S&P 500 to 3000 by mid year.

If Brexit, Trump, one Fed hike, bond price crash, Italian bank crisis, Germany bank crisis, China bubbles and slowdown, and Indian money banning problems send markets up, nothing will stop it now... Nothing.

I like Krugs. It's classic so it's instantly recognizable. The small copper content gives it distinct color different from yellow 24k gold which I like. And being 22k, you can fondle without fear of scratches and damage.

Looks like we are seeing a rotation from financials into international stocks. This is good news, as I sold XLF after the huge run-up and now my international stocks and funds VGK, VEA are turning around after last years poor performance.

I tried buying bitcoin in 2013 when it was around $100. I submitted an application to Mt. Gox, thankfully my application was denied for no reason. They later went bankrupt!!

^Sure did. I've though about buying some Bitcoins but from the stuff I've read, the exchanges may have withdrawal limits for cash. And Mt. Gox isn't the only exchange that's ever gone bankrupt, IIRC.

In other gambling news, DOW hit 20,000 today if you didn't use decimals and rounded it. Apparently, job numbers are great, trade data is great, wages are great, everything is awesome. Trump is bringing in an unprecedented era of prosperity.

And the Case Shiller PE is now over 28. It's only ever been higher in ~1929 and ~1999. Next ones down are about 2004 and 2007. I'm sure it's nothing.

If I understand how they do the ratio correctly, it'd be a lot lower without two years of extremely low earnings. But recessions happen every 5 years on average in the U.S. It'd be an anomaly to not have a shitty year or two when taking a 10 year average of earnings.

I'd actually like to see how the ratio looks without all the share buybacks facilitated by QE and near zero interest rates to boost earnings per share...

Apparently, everyone remembered that if oil goes up, fracking becomes more viable and that U.S. production fell ~900k barrels from its peak in 2015. You'd never guess what technology was a major source of new oil supply over the past decade...
