I normally do not like referencing my home team in my football thread titles because I much more enjoy talking about other teams and watching other teams.
But as a native Detroiter, I am embarrassed, seriously, after that game. I am not upset, because I don't consider myself as a Lions fan per se. I just want my home team to win most of the time.
But I think the Whisenhunt comparisons are valid right now. He was the guy fans wanted to hire before Cald-trash, but Tennessee got him and he was a disaster, lasting only a year I recall. Before then, he was the OC of that Chargers offense -- THEE hot assistant.
Patricia, an unproven Belichick hot assistant, in the long list of failed ex-Patriot assistants, comes here and engineers the one of the worse Lions games I've been cursed to watch in the short 36 years of my life.
And then he has the guts to go on a cliché-a-thon after the game, talking about a "lack of execution". It was a terrible game plan that was terribly executed, so much so that the Jets audibly called out Stafford's checks.
Ridiculous. For the first time in a long time, I'm picking against them:
