I almost laughed when I read that Vontae Davis just quit in the middle of a game like that. But hey, its unprofessional and downright disrespectful to walk out in the middle of a lunch rush if you work at McDonalds. I worked there before, and when you're fed up and no longer need to be there, I can't argue with wanting to get out of dodge ASAP.

Not comparing the NFL with Mikey Ds, but I'm only comparing the desire to quit a job you no longer enjoy or borderline hate.

In a sense, I don't blame him, but I do hate the manner in which it was done. Fwiw, I think the game coming on tonight is garbage. TNF needs better matchups.

TNF is dumb, players are on a short week, it's always a shitty game, they should revert back to Sunday/Monday night

Yeah but they get ten days off on the back end, so there is benefit to playing on Thursday night. Night games are only garbage when two bad teams are playing. MNF regularly gets bad games nowadays. SNF usually gets great match ups.

Interesting picks with the Colts and Chargers. I could see the Colts pulling out a W but the Rams are legit. Should be a good game either way. Pretty sure my 9ers are going to get pounced on.

I'd much rather work the fryolator than play for the Bills, at least there's hope for something better at McDs. Buffalo has replaced Cleveland as the 10th circle of hell with the sign above the player entrance saying "abandon hope all ye who enter here." Their only saving grace is they don't have to play the Rams this year and get plastered with 100 points scored upon. DAL @ SEA is going to be a complete suckfest as well since neither team has a passing game right now, Russell Wilson and Zeke are the only decent offensive players on both teams combined right now with Baldwin being out.

We need Goodwin back badly. Football Jesus needs someone to throw to.

I believe that with Wentz coming back, he won't be quite himself immediately. No in game action in a long time. Probably has to trust the knee mentally. I can see the Colts getting an upset.

I almost never pick against the Charger seeing I am long time Rivers fan. Love the guy.

And with the Cowboys sucking again combined with the unjustified coverage they get, we are sure to see a lot of bad games.

With regards to Vontae Davis:

You gain some advantage for one game but the short week cannot be good for player health.

TNF are consistently garbage regardless. Even good teams play sloppy and you just end up with shit games even if they aren't blowouts.

Thursday night games should only be done with teams coming off bye weeks (schedule it so they play MNF, then get a bye, then get TNF). It would make the games better and be better for player health.

Its true that MNF gets less than stellar games now, but that's because SNF is the premier game.

Baker Mayfield came in for the 2 minute drill before halftime after Tyrod Taylor went out with a concussion. Mayfield was 17-23 for 200 yards and looked way better than either Darnold or Taylor.

Jets were up 14-0 when Mayfield came in and ended up losing 21-17.

Wow, when a surefire HOF QB who will soon own most of the passing records says something like this it really makes you sit up and take notice when said rookie comes in right before halftime and completely turns the team around to a win. Honestly if Mayfield is even half the QB that Brees is the Browns have made the best first round pick in the history of their reconstituted franchise.

Tyreek Hill is near impossible to (legally) defend.

Opposing teams really don't need to try and give the Chiefs that much help. Richard Sherman got away with blatant pass interference, but then the 49ers ended up getting nailed on another one (on a 3rd and long). But the announcers "very questionable PI call" on the second one (they keep trying to claim it was uncatchable but it was at arm length and the receiver got hit so he had no chance to extend for it). And on the first one they had "sure it seems obvious when you slow it down, but at game speed its hard to notice, great play by Sherman". It was noticeable both way (Sherman hit Hill well before the ball got there, he wasn't even looking for the ball either, he just plain ran and hit his arm down while starting to wrap him up, and then the ball came in. So if the 2nd call was "questionable" it was probably to make up for the first blown one. And the 49ers have had a bunch of other penalties.

Chiefs could definitely use Earl Thomas. Not sure how they make it happen, but especially if Berry comes back healthy, that should help the defense be less shit.

The Vikings bet on the Bills, I see.

Haha, WTF is happening in that game? I see Cousins has a couple of lost fumbles, but damn. Getting punked by the Bills this year, at home, when you're supposed to have one of, if not the top defense in the league? The Vikings should ask for Vontae Davis to unretire so he can retire at halftime for them.

I gotta say, I'm having a great time so far. But, the Bills are the Bills, so I'm cautious in my joy.
