Yeah, they are definitely getting out of hand with the roughing the passer calls. There was one in the NO-ATL game against Drew Brees, and Drew Brees is my boy, that was as clean as they come. Brees even still had the damn ball in his hand and it drew a roughing call. I get that they want to protect their money makers and I damn sure don't want to see MY quarterback injured but come on, WTF is the defense supposed to do?

I'd say instead of wrapping him up, knock him down. But that means that I seriously don't know either.

I'm bummed. Couldn't watch any games because we were moving our kid into his student housing yesterday, AND Jimmy G. got hurt. I was too tired to check any updates, but if it's a torn ACL, it's going to be a tough season to watch this year (again). It's a crap division for sure, but I thought the 9ers would at least be entertaining to watch. Maybe they should re-sign Kaep...

There seems to be quite the fan cry for just that...

I'm not entirely against it. All the political BS aside, he was a decent qb for awhile. Teams just picked up on his game and he wasn't very good after. Of course that Bears game where he had like less than 5 yards passing was embarrassing as hell though lol.

5 yard games happen when you can't read defenses. Which results in plays like you not even noticing your WRs are completely uncovered by the other team and thus unable to complete passes needed to gain more than 5 yards/game.

Despite everything said in public about the situation, I think it was that play that really got Harbaugh fired.

(because he's the one that dumped Alex Smith for the shitty shitty Kaepernick)

I saw that and I was kinda bummed for them (even though they're division rivals for the Hawks).

In all seriousness, why are people acting as if Kaep as a "right" to be in the NFL because other trash QBs are employed? Really. I am sure it has more to do with his protesting than his skill level, but shouldn't employers be allowed to hire who they want?

I remember when Barry Bonds couldn't find a team in 2007(?) and while some said it was collusion to prevent this "cheater" from putting the HR record out of reach forever, no one really came to bat for Bonds, because they didn't like him, showing further the hypocrisy of fans and the media accusing owners of collusion in Kaep's case.

Really, this is no different from what employers have been doing for decades with ex-cons, job hoppers etc who they determine are bad for business. But with Kaep, its collusion.

I don't blame teams for not wanting to deal with Kaep. He's a backup at best as far as talent goes, or maybe a starter on a bottom 3 team, but with him will come A LOT of baggage that just wouldn't be worth what he brings most likely. It sucks for him but it's just the way it is. I don't really think it's his fault that it got as big as it did but that was just the media rolling with it (as well as the President of the US) and making it a way bigger deal than it needed to be.

Yea there would be a ton of baggage if a team would bring him back. I don't think he has "a right" to be in the league, but he was good at one point in time so it wouldn't hurt to see if he's still got some skill. We'll see how things play out moving forward. It's confirmed torn ACL.

RG3 was also good at one point in time, and now he's a 3rd stringer who I believe has been inactive every game so far, after sitting out a year. There's a reason the average NFL career is 3 years I believe

Some want to claim its race. I would like to fill people in on something. Mike Vick spent two years in prison after running an illegal dogfight ring. He came back. You know why? Because he was way better than Kaep will ever be. Donte Stallworth hit and killed a guy, but he could still play and as I recall, got a job with the Pats. AP was a child abuser. All were black. One was a felon.

The race angle is pure garbage.

Whats going on with the announcing on MNF? Three people at times trying to talk over each other and then longish periods of silence

As for the commentary, did they already let Witten loose? I didn't think I heard him and it sounded like someone else in his place.

Either that or he had to take a dump. I don't hear him either.
