I agree to a certain extent. It's silly to say there aren't worse QBs on NFL rosters than QK.

But there are other factors. Has he definitively stated he would play for a backup's salary? I haven't read anything that confirms that.

Plus - if he wins that collusion lawsuit that's going to be HUGE bucks for him. Possibly 250 mil actual damages, another 250 mil or more punitive. Maybe he doesn't want to risk any action that could derail it?

I think all KMFD is saying is that evidence like this adds to CK's case--not that he has any interest in playing right now. Besides, money or not, it's just a huge conflict of interest to accept an NFL contract right now. I'm not sure if that would actually end his case, but it's not like the lawsuit would endear him to the NFL owners that he is suing, to the point that they would be willing to offer him anything, lol.

I'm not sure what the collusion rules are.

If he has to prove that all the owners agreed not to sign him it's a pretty difficult road.

If he only has to prove that 2 owners colluded against him it's much easier. A single e mail will do.

I think it goes nowhere, yes, he's good enough to be on a team but every team has it's own stance if they wanted that drama and possibly alienating their fans. Moreover, Baltimore had him signed until his whack-job girlfriend blew that opportunity up.

Quite the game tonight, Pats 43, KC 40, somehow Hill get getting left alone and he promptly burned the Pats with 2 TD catches, the only reason the Pats won was they had the ball last.

So, what you're saying is that if no one covers any of the Chiefs' players then they can score? Hahahahahahaha

Bears vs. Fins game was very sloppy. Not one but two fumbles at the 1 yard line from each team. Several INTs from both teams. Fins was lucky to win.

No, what I was saying was Hill is so damm fast you THINK you have an angle on him then quickly discover you don't, he's been burning almost every team so far.

As a Pats fan, that game was infuriating. Started to get some serious PTSD from last years opener. Glad we managed to hang on, but all those blown coverages and the poor kickoff coverage was not a good omen for the rest of the season.

Happy we won, but that D is not a Superbowl winning D.

holy crap what a game last night. KC is effing crazy. I don't see how there can be any doubters at this point. Mahomes and his tools can score like Warner, at will.

I was kinda angry when they ran out for that ~2 min possession, grabbed the left hash, and proceeded to score on 1st down, 80 yards out, leaving Brady a good 1:45 left to do the obvious, lol. But it's kinda nice to still see that the Patriots will not. fucking. stop. beating your ass if you give them the opportunity. It's nuts.

I really hope this is the AFC championship. Baltimore could be spoilers, though.

Also, the NFC is looking like a complete joke this year. The Rams are the only team to worry about, really, and they actually are no joke. Chicago...maybe? Trubisky is actually terrible, and will be exposed before the year is over. But holy crap that D...well, mostly. lol. Skins are a headcase. No one is concerned about the eastern division, and for good reason. Seattle...definitely finding their groove on offense again, which is nice. Maybe back to the pre-SB days when they will spoil anyone's fun, but I don't see them doing much in the playoffs (WC team for sure). NO...maybe? can definitely score and you pretty much know that they have a chance to beat you, whoever you are, on any night, but they are also head cases. Basically like the Redskins, only you go into a game against NO knowing that they can actually beat you, lol.

AFC just seems really stacked this year. KC, NE, BL, and maybe PiT, CI as potential upstarts. All of these teams are just great, really. Oh shit, I forget that SD...ah fuck, LAC are actually winning games again, and not looking shitty when they do it. So there is that.

Rams offense against the KC defense would be interesting to watch. KC offense might still score 40 or 50 points but the Rams might score 100. Gurley might set records that would be unbreakable. I’m guessing the Vegas over/under on that SB would be at least 75 points.

Yeah, exactly. These are the teams where I think the opponent's D simply doesn't matter. The Patriots won last night because Bellichick is just better than Andy with the clock and overall game management, and of course Brady predictably does everything that you expect Brady to do and need to do to win.

I mean, I like to see great defenses do their thing, and the Patriots are no slouches, so I think this was just a showcase of how defense really doesn't matter against KC. You just have to outscore them.

Same with the Rams....Gurly in the snow, lol, against a very, very, very good Denver front.

lol so where the eff is GB secondary tonight? They are making SF look like a professional football team! I mean...they get burned on, basically, 3 plays straight over two possessions. It's ridiculous.

Maybe this Betheraiaa guy is some sort of hidden Mahomes?

I am wondering if GB thinks they are contenders.

Some faith was restored in my 9ers last night. They played well most of the game, but of course Rodgers happened. Beathard played well, and they actually ran the ball pretty well too. They have the Rams, Cards, Raiders and Giants coming up. If they play like they played last night, they might be able to come out 3-4 over the next 4 weeks.

The Niners played so well last night that I turned the game off in the middle of the 3rd quarter (Packers fan). Fortunately I turned the game back on with 5:33 left on the clock. Extremely shocked with the outcome.

lol. that's exactly when I turned it off because I was sick of the GB failed drives all the way to the goal line. Of course, I missed Davante winning the game for the packers, and my matchup this week, coming from behind and putting my up by 3 in the end! (I had Davante and Graham, he had Montgomery, a KC LB and Ha-Ha, with a two point lead. I thought it was a lock for me, but somehow Montgomery got a lot of looks (wtf?) and scored early, lol.)

Well when the Pats can get away with shit like this, its kinda a lot easier to win games: https://twitter.com/ChiefinCarolina/status/1051643507138580481/video/1
There was an offensive pass interference call on the Pats, but the refs decided one of the Chiefs held another Pats WR so they offset.
And Hightower being a dirty fuck: https://twitter.com/TomKCTV5/status/1051649115787018240/photo/1
There were some other atrocious ones too. Like the flag when the Pats player held the Chiefs guy as he flew into the punt returner (they threw a flag on the Chiefs but picked it up after realizing that yeah, it was obvious why he hit the returner).

If Andy had been more aggressive (if you're inside the opponents 5 yard line, fucking go for it every single time), they almost certainly win that game. I don't think Andy even mismanaged the clock, its not like he could've predicted that the Pats would play Hill like that. If the Chiefs d didn't keep shitting the bed, like if Breeland Speaks fucking wraps up and holds onto Brady - not even saying he has to tackle him, just hold onto him - instead of letting him run in.

Earlier in the week Brady was trying to say that QBs now have advantage because of their coaches taking college spread offense designs...seemingly ignoring that the Pats did that for him back in like 2003.

Oh and a Pats fan got banned from their stadium for throwing a beer on Hill after that TD. And some radio person (from KC I believe) said Pats fans stole some of his equipment.

Get the hell out of here with the bitching about the refs in that Pats game. There were just as many BS non calls on the Chiefs so nobody wants to hear your crying. You lost to a better team. Deal with it.

As for the beer throwing Pats fan, he didn't steal shit. When you run into a crowd of opposing fans in a high charged environment, don't expect to get hugs and kisses. The beer was way over the line, and the guy got what he deserved. Charges outside of that are just dumb. Maybe Hill will learn a lesson (unlikely) and refrain from doing that going forward.

The week 7 thread should include a poll about which team is the worst in the NFL this year. Normally there's a clear front runner for that, but since the Browns have improved from terrible to meh it's hard to distinguish which of the remaining slugs are the worst of the worst. Raiders, Bills, Giants, Cardinals, and Niners all have legitimate claims of being the worstest of the worst.

I am currently undecided between the Giants and Raiders. I think the Niners reserved some dignity by exposing just how bad the Packers really are in that eventual loss.

I have some SHOCKING news for you, NFL players "get away" with anything they can as long as the Ref's won't call it. Any good DB/safety will grab jersey's and hold like that if the Ref's have a 'let 'em play" meantality. Shoot, don't you think Gronk has been mauled numerous times well past the 5yrd allowed?, I watch all Pat's games, he does, again, if the Ref's are not going to call it, it will happen. Also, Hightower did shove the player but didn't realize his teammate was going to wind up under him so he hit the deck, in the list of "dirty plays" I don't see this as anything major at all. The fan that threw the beer was identified by Gillette security, he is now banned from the facility for life, the tape and all information has been forwarded to local law enforcement as well, he will face disorderly conduct charges, I hope the Judge fine's the ever loving shi* out of him. Hill himself might file a lawsuit as well, and you know what?, good, F asshol* fans that have to pull cowardly crap like that, they can give an entire city a bad name. Last week the Red Sox closer had a beer can hurled at him as he left the bullpen, another cowardly act, at least the Patriots organization reacted quickly and made sure this moron cannot do it again. oh. back in 2003 the Pats were a run-first team behind Cory Dillion, I think what Brady meant is that with the current PI calls and now roughing the passer calls QB's feel like they can hang onto it longer without the fear of being sacked hard. Personally, I think it's gone too far, you can't expect a 300lb guy to become a ballerina to avoid putting too much "body weight" during a sack.

You get the fuck out of here. They consistently call more favorably for the Pats. Even non-shithead Pats fans even admit that.

Show them then. They were calling penalties on the Chiefs (which absolutely were penalties) plenty. Did you even fucking look at what I posted? The Pats defender literally was wrapped around Kelce, its blatant clear holding and they ignored it. They called less blatant calls on the Chiefs (which they were often definitely penalties, but there's a big disparity in how they called each team).

What the fuck are you talking about? Just wow, seriously what the fuck can you read you moron? He threw a beer in the Chief's players face, I didn't say he stole anything, that was apparently other shitty Pats fans that stole someone else's radio equipment you dumbshit. But hey, why bother using your brain when you can just be a fucking dumbass instead?

Yeah, bullshit. They were not "letting them play" because they were calling it on the Chiefs (which I'm not claiming they weren't committing penalties, just that is obvious they were ignoring blatant ones by the Pats). Go and fucking look at the first link I posted. Tell me they were "just letting them play". That's about as blatant of a defensive holding penalty as you'll ever see.

I often call people out for getting pissed at the refs and I even said that if Andy had been more aggressive or the Chiefs player wrapped up Brady instead of letting him run it, that the Chiefs would've likely won the game, so its not like I'm saying they only lost because of the refs. But it makes it a hell of a lot easier to win if you get that favorable of penalty calls. Its not like they weren't committing them, they just weren't being called, and there's multiple times where the refs went out of their way to screw the calls. On the OPI call that got offset, Collinsworth even said "I guess the refs felt that was a hold" like he didn't see how it could've been a hold when they replayed it to see how they called holding on the Chiefs to offset the Pats flag.

Also, go look at the punt return where they picked up the flag. It was blatant holding too. They threw a flag for the Chiefs player hitting the returner though. They even fucking reviewed it - or at least they stopped while they reviewed video not sure if that counts a review in the typical sense. And it somewhat benefit the Chiefs since it got rid of the penalty against them, but with how blatant it was that the Pats blocker held the guy, I can't even fathom why they flagged the Chiefs in the first place. He literally dragged him by the jersey into the return guy.
