As someone that used to play and love Blizzard games, I can only imagine that things start to go downhill (not the stock price)

Blizzard was a company that prided itself on making quality, original, and amazing games.
Activision is a company that prides itself on profits and pumping out tons of shit games and hoping people gobble it up. They are much more likely to embrace the whole loot box and micro transaction stuff.

I guess what I'm saying is - you will never see a new World of Warcraft after Activision took over - it's just too much work for them, they would rather make a shit sequel and have loot boxes instead. Which maybe I'm just living in denial - I don't want to believe that is the future for desktop gaming, but perhaps it is. I would have thought more along the lines of WoW with monthly fees of $10+ would make more from a consistent revenue perspective, but I guess loot boxes cost nothing to make and maintain unlike an actual game.

I mean coming from a player, it works, as long as it is just cosmetic items vs. the whole fiasco with EA and their pay to win with StarWars Battlefront. I felt like the whole seasonal skins that started with Overwatch was genius. I found myself playing more than ever during those events just to earn those stupid skins that meant nothing.

Buyer beware on VRX. It could definately go up, but it can also go down. It was just $11 bucks.
Don't forget how the company reached such lofty levels in the past:
http://fortune.com/2016/03/20/valeant-timeline-scandal/

Also whats holding it back is a large debt pile and negative revenue growth, plus Bill Ackman sold his stake:
https://www.cnbc.com/2017/03/13/ack...aleant-will-step-down-from-board-sources.html

These issues have been ongoing since late 2015. Since then a new CEO has been reducing debt, lenders are being repaid and the company generated strong profits last quarter (thus the low p/e ratio).

Better to buy now IMO than when it's in the 50s or 60s which are on the way in 2018 (maybe).

I'm buying the dip. Sessions isn't going to do anything.

He's actually helping me out because I had a big block of ACBFF I sold yesterday that I can now move to MJX
You and I are like minded here. As soon as I got the NYT update about the DOJ, I went to watch the spiral and buy more. I imagine I'll be holding MJX for some time. Sure, could lose it all, but I think it's a long term winner.

Be warned, as long as Trump is in office (hopefully until 1/20/2025), investing in pot stocks will be a bad long term investment. They will never have access to banking services, could face punitive federal taxation (drug stamps) or simply be run out of business by enforcement of federal asset seizure laws.

That being said, I oppose the use of weed or any other illegal drug for recreational purposes.

Obviously we differ heavily in our politics and outlook on weed. The country disagrees entirely with the Trump/Sessions position, and call me naive, but I still have hope the people will win ok the end.

It would be interesting to see what everyone's portfolios are made of. Not dollar amounts or number of shares, just the ticker symbols.

Here ya go:

KO,ABT,ABBV,ACAD,COP,AAPL,TRXC,WFC,AMD,EQR,PG,TEVA,AZN,ECA,F,GS,IBM,KBE,SDY,KMB,ORC,RMBS,V,WTR,OPHT,NVDA

I like dividends....

Also, there are several mutual funds to give me more European and Asia exposure. Plus a managed bond account with Chase.

If anyone has any recommendations for LATAM or South American exposure, could be interested. Just tendered my CZZ stock to leave at +50%, so I know longer have any direct exposure down there.

How is Dump going to stop Canadian MJ companies from using the canadian banking system?

MJX holdings are almost exclusively Canadian

As usual, your ideas are terrible and you don't know what you're talking about.

So it was not obvious I was speaking of the recent American legalization movement in certain states? And while we are at it, what is the "canadian banking system"? Do you mean Canadian banking system, which is not as prolific or dynamic as ours and therefore limited in that regard?

Legalization is a worldwide phenomenon. It's not just California lol. It's Mexico, Canada, and many other countries.

How is your JCP investment doing? Not too great, huh?

I mentioned JCP to razz you because I know you did not like it. I currently do not own any shares but still think it might go to $5, but am not sure enough to put money on it.

I currently own VRX, which has risen from $21 to $24 just last week (a Canadian company, mind you). I also a building a small position in OAS even though all oil stocks might be due for a pull back as $60 oil might not hold in light of supply. The American economy is strong so I can see the bull's argument, but OIL has lots gains to digest.

Here is a stock with that Latin America flair for you, Arcos Dorados Holdings Inc. (ARCO). I should have bought this last January since it has gained 71% in one year. Also, Bill Gates owns 3 million shares of ARCO.

What about the use of opiate painkillers that kill many more people?

Just seems silly, to be honest. When were just doing more and more debt - just legalize it and tax the shit out of it. Don't let your morals cloud the fact that you should be standing up for everyone to do as they please as long as it doesn't affect another person's life.

Thanks for the suggestion. Fast Food franchise management is intriguing down there. Exclusive rights in 20 countries is a good deal as long as you believe in the sustainability of the McDonald's franchise, which I think I do outside of the U.S.

And while I am greatly entertained by the fact that Bill Gates owns 3 million shares, I am concerned about the meteoric rise in 1 year. A lack of a dividend also makes it slightly less appealing.

Definitely one I am going to add to the watchlist in hopes of a pull back to the mid 8's or less.

My only holdings are BZUN, TCEHY, MJX, AMD, AAPL and a whole bunch of different options that would take 20 minutes to type out.

I'm up 30% in the last 10 days

Meh. I think we have another 6 month or so of this before the crash. Multiples are still much lower than the dot com boom or 2007.

Sold my TGT too early. I believed they wouldn't post holiday sales growth because they weren't open on Black Friday, but they did. Oh well bought in the low 50s so did well on it nonetheless.

I think I will move that money over to BBBY. They are a buyout candidate (Amazon would like them more than Target), wife loves their World Market stores, they pay a 2.8% dividend, low PE and decent debt profile.
