I was thinking earnings would bring some direction to this market, but I guess not. Where are people putting their money? Its not treasuries because the yield is going up and its not stocks because they are headed down. If its cash, then the market will be fine when all that cash wants to come back in.

Thats crazy about CAT. They beat numbers and raised outlook yet its still down 6%.

What else is crazy is the treasury yields are up near 3% and the utilities/reits are up, complete opposite of what has been happening. Yeah volatility!

Well, you have 3 choices, bonds, stocks, cash. Bonds are losing value due to interest rates going up. Stocks going sideways/slowly sliding. Cash is losing money to inflation. IMO you either remain in stocks and hope they'll bounce up, or cash out based on your intuition/preference/magic 8 ball prediction.

Closed INTC puts at 2.34 up 21%

Not bad for 1 day returns while the market tanks. Any time I see one of these shady analysts upgrade a stock that I think is overvalued I want to buy puts, and finally I did. This is my first profitable short this year!


I think I will buy them back tomorrow morning after the pumpers bring INTC back up over 52 but this time I will hold them because AMD earnings are going to send INTC back under $50.


Think about it: Why is Intel stock at 10 year highs when the whole market is down 20%? What is intel doing that Apple, Google, every other great company isn't? Why are they valued higher than ever in their history?


Is intel in better shape than it has ever been? If the answer to that is an obvious "No!" then why is the stock valued so high?

Another profitable day shorting intel. Market makers are trying to trick the last group of dunce retail investors into falling into this massive bull trap by buying up INTC this morning. Shady analysts at Citigroup (well-known as the WORST analysts in the business) have upgraded intel for NO REASON WHATSOEVER and intel is thus at 520 week highs.



Buy INTC 2020 or 2019 puts and you will be profitable whether the market goes up or down. It's fool proof.

I am almost exclusively in it for the longhaul these days. I do not have the time nor the desire to watch tickers on a minute to minute or even hour to hour basis and i don't trade options. I am just another INTC sheep who is up 65% on that one.

If I had been bought out of MU last week I would have bought CAT for sure. As it is I don't have much room to play with.

For me its basically covered calls on MU until they get exercised. And some light day trading. I hope they continue to be as profitable as they have been.

Looking at the daily chart you can short INTC every day at 10am and close any time in the afternoon and you will make money.

Lol did you even read the charts on the days you cited?...For example, You could short at 10am on the 16th and close at 1045. Easy money

Do you even understand what the word "afternoon" means? Look at the two things you posted that I underlined. Do you see how they are different?

You didn't specify the time zone on your easy money post, so I'll use Eastern time. 10 AM Eastern on Apr 16th, 2018 INTC was at $52.17/share. It closed at $52.40/share. Closing was in the afternoon. So, by your own instructions, I could have made money selling the short at "any time in the afternoon" and I would have made money. But how do you make money on a short when the price goes up?

I don't see why I bother when even you disagree with your own posts. 10:45 AM is not in the afternoon.

Damn, doing pretty damn good today for earnings.

CMG up 10% after earnings - beat expectations by 35%.
AMD up 6% from my buy yesterday.

If the merger goes through and you buy TWX now, you would get about a 10% return pretty quickly. Buying T after this drop you would get a high dividend yield and if the stock is able to return to $40 after the purchase you would get almost a 20% return.

We will see... As someone that works in tax, I value the advantages of long term, so I am hoping to hold on to all of these for at least a year.
