Twitter meltdown. Called one of the cave rescuers a pedo.

I think the stress is getting to him.
Musk is probably right and the British guy is pedo. Why else would 40 something year old British guy move to Thailand? Even Boris Johnson acknowledged it and joked about British sex tourism in Thailand during a speech. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...-tourism-joke-foreign-secretary-a8210101.html

Let the pedo guy sue Musk for defamation. Then the dirt will be dug up and the pedo guy will either win or we'll find out Musk was right. My money is on Musk being right.

Not enough eye rolls for this post. I guess when you're a shareholder there's no amount of bullshit you won't believe and no amount of shilling on forums that's too shameful.

The guy is going to sue so we should find out if he's pedo. Musk might be crazy and he should've just called the guy a douche instead of pedo but maybe Musk saw or knows something we don't. I read the British guy is in his 60s and not 40s so I'm leaning more pedo.

It couldn't be he moved because he likes the culture, food, lifestyle, adventure, ocean and diving, the fact that he can live like a king with a relatively small amount of money, etc. Yep, pedo confirmed based on a wild bullshit defamatory accusation from a thin-skinned CEO.

Maybe. Or he wanted to do all that plus have sex with young girls or maybe even boys.

It was bonehead move by Musk to call him a pedo even if he had evidence the guy is a pedo. If he doesn't have evidence, it's even bigger bonehead move. But Musk is human just like us. He gets angry; he gets frustrated. He let people troll him and he took the bait. It'll be learning lesson for him as he will be sued and Tesla gets another dose of negative publicity. But in the big picture it's just noise and as long as Tesla doesn't do something stupid like fire him like Papa Johns, Musk and Tesla will be ok. Musk is Tesla just like Jobs was to early Apple. Without Musk, current Tesla will 100% fail. I have no doubt.

"It's not just Morgan Stanley adopting a more cautious attitude about stocks. About 60% of fund managers polled by Bank of America Merrill Lynch in early May said they believe stocks either peaked in January or will do so later this year.", "Our forecasts are consistent with the usual late-cycle pattern, where topping is a process, not a point in time," Sheets wrote., "Today's excesses aren't nearly as extreme," Sheets wrote. (Ref'ing dot-com bubble burst or the financial crisis)

Anybody gone defensive? I still have not recovered since the January 30th peak.

I have been pretty defensive for a while, investing in mostly value dividend payers. When fund managers are predicting a top, it rarely is the top. In fact many predicted tops in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The blow off top is usually when they start predicting huge gains ahead and get extremely bullish.

Everyone should have already been "defensive".... we are well above all-time highs to the point where a correction is simply historically due.

As to what corrections are correct under the "defensive" attitude is a different argument though.

Pretty sure we already had 10% correction earlier this year and bounced back to all time highs. Question is where do we go from here.
?? Not aware of any correction this year. Closest we got was the oil glut in the beginning of 2017 - and even that BARELY fell into "correction" territory.

Corrections are defined as a drop of at least10% from their highs. Consumer Discretionary (XLP), REITs (VNQ), Fiancials (XLF), Industrials (XLI) all experienced >10% drops from their highs. Only the tech sector (QQQ) did not.

As @KB has said, most of the indexes dropped 10% off their highs this year. SP500 went from 2,872 to 2,581 and DJI went from 26,616 to 23,533. Both of those are >10% drops.

Calling someone a pedo just because they are in Thailand is the dumbest thing I've read all day. Now Musk has publicly apologized.

Musk is an egotistical nutjob who should keep his yap shut and just make cars and stfu.
