AMD beats in Q2, stock pops after hours. Hope it maintains through the open tomorrow.

FB disappoints and tanks. Pleases my bitter little heart after i sold WAY to soon...

Says growth will slow rest of year because of the all the new privacy laws it has to comply with. User growth less than expected.

Slowing growth is not goot for a high P/E ratio stock.

We've been saying this forever. Once mom and dad join it's no longer cool. Facebook will die, like many other things on the internet, they all go up and reach a peak and come back down just as fast..... except google.

I think MSFT is way overpriced with a forward P/E of 22. If they continue to grow cloud revenue though, the stock price would move higher, but at $110 there isn't as much room to grow.

Despite high stock prices there are some real value stocks out there. I recently doubled-down on T and NYCB, two stocks paying > 6% yields that can easily cover those yields and have some growth in their future.

Also, the selloff in FB might create opportunities in other stocks or the market as a whole. Amazon reports after the close.

Dear god did I call it with CMG or did I call it? Another great earnings... I'm up 28.8% from when I bought.

Wish I bought more, but oh well...

AMD also a nice nudge up for me.

Nicely done on CMG. I just can't see fastish foods as a good investment, but that's just a mental block. Clearly a lot of other people feel way different.

As for AMD, great day and coupled with an after hours beating for INTC, I am shocked FIVR hasn't shown up. Probably rolling around in his/hers Scrooge McDuck like vault (and that's not a bad thing)

I feel like "fast food" in the sense of greasy drive-thru is starting to go out. I don't have any data to support that - since I still drive by McDonalds with a line wrapped around the building at 9:00 at night (srsly, 9:00 isn't dinner time wtf are all those people there for?). But if I recall, most fast foods haven't been that great lately as far as earnings. I haven't been to one in 6+ years outside of Chik-Fil-A.

Chipotle is just slightly 1 step above fast food. It's nice enough for people to grab it for dinner - go to it during lunch hour at work - and it's cheap enough that majority can afford it without saying it's too expensive for them.

The QQQs fell from 183 to a low of 176.70 in 48 hours after the dramatic fall in FB and Intel.

Not even "amazing" Amazon earnings could help put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

I think people are waking up to the fact that FANG stocks are vulnerable to real world statistics and the sky IS NOT the limit when it comes to earnings.

While GDP was the best since 2014, housing starts disappointed big time. There was talk that bad housing numbers usually always are the canary in the coalmine when it comes to the earliest signs of a minor or major pull back in the market cycle (IE - RECESSION).

Apple better report one its best quarters in HISTORY ......or I expect we might be in for another market correction like we saw earlier this year over the next month.

Of course housing starts are going to slow. Borrowing has gotten more expensive and mortgage rates have gone back up. Still historically low of course, but it does seem like the hikes have pretty much ended this housing cycle.

Its not just rates. People's expectations of their homes market value when put up for sale have become unrealistic and are putting the brakes on growth.

In other words - your home did not double or triple in value since 2010. I think housing is due for a major correction.
