Where are the DOW 30,000 hats? I wanted to see the traders wearing them
For the record, I think things look safe enough to go back into the market. I am now 50% stocks, 50% junk bonds in retirement account.
(watch this bite me in the ass later)
Usually, this is the time for the Santa Claus rally. This is 2020, though... so who knows? Joe Biden could catch COVID and the whole market would panic.
New transition, same crap. From now until the inauguration, it's either to the new guy's credit/fault or to the old guy's credit/fault, depending on up/down.https://www.cnbc.com/2020/11/24/tru...e-press-conference-leaves-after-a-minute.html
lol. Trump held press conference today to tout Dow 30,000. I feel like I'm living in Twilight Zone. Seriously, wtf? Send in the Clowns!
Any weed stocks you recommend?Weed stocks are picking up momentum. Kamala said it on live TV during the VP debate... they will legalize it at the federal level. That's all that was needed to set off this next speculative boom.
CGC, CRON, APHA, and VFF are my picks in that sector.
Well, I guess that asks the question of - how long are we expecting the average battery to last? Or last to the point where it gets a significant amount of miles and hasn't deteriorated to the point of only getting 40 miles or something?
Battery hot-swapping would negate this - since you're constantly swapping new ones that are approved of by the distribution company. Once they get below a certain threshold, they would be taken out of the distribution chain and recycled.
I believe Nio is calling it "Battery as a service" and making it out to be a continuously paid service.
Why didn't I just buy 1000 shares of Palantir when it went public?
It was at $9-$10 a share and I had plenty of room on one of my accounts. I even had the order queued up and ready to go. And I chickened out. Now it's like $27.
I'm doing well this year, no complaining. But missing out on all of these huge gains is getting painful.

I've missed by penny many times. The ones I remember the most are the ones that I would've made big profit if I had bought or sold. But I'm sure there were others I was saved from big losses by a penny too. So I guess in the big picture it probably balanced out but those near misses and hits sure do hurt if it would've worked out in your favor. My wife says I'm the king of penny wise, pound foolish.Sad story - I placed a sell order for $30 of a biotech after its price doubled. The stock peaked at $29.99 that day, and has since cratered to under $5. Potential big profit became major loss due to one f'in penny! Not sure why I decided on a round number that day to sell because I usually place limit orders at a tad under the nice round number, e.g. 29.9
