Is it possible some morons thought BB stood for Blockbuster?

(click on the 5 day summary)

well if you ride half a cent up to 25 cents, that's pretty damn good, right? ...would those be honored if people traded it? It's open right, so no reason it can't be traded? (unless you are going through RH or IB, I guess)

Dammit.

When I opened my account I immediately saw that BB had risen but the market value of the options hadn't moved. I tried twice to buy them back but I couldn't. Got the "options symbol doesn't exist" message.

Now the options are up.

Lots of people are buying it up as the price dips. Share volume is already over 28M 30 mins in and the avg is 46M...it's going to start getting teeth.

I know this may be premature to ask, but what are the implications of this long term?

Short term, are we going to this "bubble" pop? Some will look at this to cash out in the near term, to much craziness.

I don't know, but maybe brokerages start charging fees again on trades?

The most likely implication will be govt regulation around shorting >100% of stock quantity, and possibly some kind of regulation around 'mass social manipulation of markets' or something vague like that so this can't ever legally happen again.

Couldn't help it. I bought two shares of AMC at $13.50.

Fomo + sticking it to the man = difficult to ignore.

I now have THREE shares .

LOL, I thought it was Best Buy. Another reason for me to not get into day trading. I still have no idea what QQQ is.

I also kept thinking it was Best Buy. I was like...you know, Best Buy has still been holding strong all these years and I don't get it--I see regular traffic in the local one every time I head that way to get groceries.

I thought BB would rise a lot today and therefore I was planning to post I was a goat for dumping all my BB yesterday at $15 for a $8K loss. Even had the goat pic to show:
But as of this post BB is actually below $15. Which is where I want to buy back the shares but can't until Monday when my cash clears. So I'm goat anyway?

Essentially, yes. And now AMC is getting clobbered lol.
Funny what happens when the broker apps limit buys to 25 shares or less.

You lucked out that RH and others are still manipulating the prices on those key companies.

Ok from my posts people can deduce I bought around 2000 shares of BB originally a couple days ago which I did before dumping all of it. So I won't be able to buy even a 1000 shares in BB from some of these brokers?

I don't know. I haven't tried to buy anything since they were messing with stuff and don't use those apps.

The RH website had a list of the stocks they were limiting and references to how they want to "protect investors".

I'm pretty sure market price orders still have limits on what happens if the price changes a certain percent over what's in someone's account. It sounds like they're just manipulating stuff for their friends and trying to tank these select stocks.

I think MMs might be trying to crash the stock market to get a hold off the GME and other short situations. It's the only ammunition they really have left: cause mass panic/selling.

Joke's on them, I was almost all dry powder.

Time to put some of it to use burning the shorts.
