Yahoo Finance lagging.

Hey Verizon, I thought you cleared up server space by nuking Yahoo Groups. You guys can't handle your site getting loads of traffic?

Maybe it's time to go all-in on Nokia and party like it's 2006. I feel like Nokia has been waiting for this very moment to release the N-Gage 2.

These are the short squeeze attempts that I am currently aware of.

- AAL
- NOK
- GME
- AMC
- ERIC
I've got 20 shares in AAL because of the dip.

I can't imagine the volume they're dealing with on those transactions. You think the hedge fund managers are smoking a lot this week, I bet there's a poor server sitting somewhere in a datacenter that's running a little hot.

All this shows you the power of the internet, social media, and the retail. I recently took position in TWTR couple weeks ago when it dipped because the whole Trump Capital protest mess. I think Twitter is undervalued compared to its influence and utility. Look at the market cap of Twitter and compare it to Facebook, Snap, and recent IPO tech names. I don't have my full desired position in TWTR but I plan to keep adding on any major dip.

I just always felt like "tweeting" didn't sound manly enough, so I never bought into the platform. I understand all of those companies are really about monetizing followers and subscribers for the sake of selling information to marketing firms. I also noticed you didn't mention Anandtech or MySpace.

It's funny how long it takes for certain tech to realize its true potential. People were talking of "power to the people" with regards to stock markets in 1999 when you could do trades for $7 flat fee (or was it $9, lol who knows, now it's free)

Prior to the internet, investing was a walled garden protected by huge brokers. Letting the masses get real-time info and make small trades was revolutionary. What's happening now with GME should have happened 10 times by 2005.

They should all cash in. GME, AMC need the money.

yeah, I think AMC is ...maybe the only one of these targets that has a likely future after the pandemic, and this little event passes. I debated keeping this tiny amount of shares, but it isn't worth it right now, imo.

This thing is plummeting, lol. ...though when the google was telling me the price was $8, VG still sold my shares for $13. How does that work? I saw 0 bid and 0 ask, so was worried that VG had also locked traders out.

...this was all in my trIRA with them, so never was worried about any kind of short term anything; though if I had taken a serious bath on this I think I would have preferred to have done it in my regular brokerage account so that I could at least claim the loss. Oh well.

I would bring up my experiences in the year 2000 again but we are seeing first hand.

Altcoin AMC is now cratering below $7.00.

Itchy trigger fingers anyone? lol

EDIT: AMC is making a comeback. I bought a share at $7.50. Ride or die!

Looks like the party and the rebellion is over. The Empire Strikes Back. They're going to punish WSB retail names. But silver lining is that they will be more careful and less greedy next tine. Oh, who am I kidding. Nothing will change and these greedy hedge funds fucks will still be levering up 10 to 1 with their money and ask for bailout from the government and us the retail the next time they make bad stupid bet. All upside they get to keep for themselves on correct bets and socialize the downside losses if they ever screw up. Nice work if you can get it and can get into the exclusive club.

BB down 40%!

I hope no one here is holding that.
Sold all my BB a few minutes ago, lost $8k but all my bills are still being paid, it's not a problem. Sorry to let down anyone who is in BB and for letting down the people in the redd.. I should run for office.

edit - BB is making a bit of a rebound since going down to $14+, god if I made a mistake in selling a few hours too soon. It's a matter of pride not any financial hardship for me.

I'm curious how many fresh millionaires are going to roll a portion of their earnings straight back into the game next week and how many walk. Stocks on the radar are still going to be on the radar.

Ouch. This reminds me of the 10k loss I took on NYMT last year. It hurts but you have to dust yourself off and get back up again.

Good luck man.

This is an addiction. Once you experience the highs and lows, you can't walk away easily. Wall St is a casino but with better odds because you can invest too and be the house if you want through options. Sure the game is crooked and stacked against small retail but we've shown we're learning their game. Bunch of these new retail will stick around. There's so much to the market than just plain stock trading. It's why I keep saying you have to learn options and derivatives if you want to fully compete with them.
