I bought some yesterday at $85 and sold at $87 on the broker upgrade. Sure wish I held on to it.

If it fell to the $50-$60 range I thought I might buy 100 shares to tuck away. Doesn't look like that's going to happen.

But SAVA shooting up is definitely good news for my options position.

Watching SAVA blowup frustrates me, but I have to remember that I still made a healthy profit on that trade. My paper hands are really showing through...

Its hard to sell a good stock even when its collapsing. I experienced the same thing with Marin leaving a lot of profits on the table before I was finally flushed out. Thankfully I read the tea leaves and got back in and was able to sell near $30.

Sometimes you just have to realize you either you sold too soon and a good stock is worth buying back .....OR.... the current run up might be a one or two day wonder.

What happens next? Consolidation back to the $70-80s again? Or will it hold over $100 for now? I honestly do not know.

On now an update on SAVA.

Cassava Sciences
(NASDAQ:SAVA) announced on July 21 that it would present two new clinical datasets in the upcoming Denver Alzheimer’s conference. The most important of these two will be on July 29 at 11 am ET, when the company releases its nine-month dataset results for its Alzheimer’s drug, Simufilam.

I might buy 5 or 10 shares. Have to think about it. It may crash, rally or do nothing.

The Lucid CCIV merger is finally complete. Currently up 15%.

CCIV = LCID

I got out of CCIV when it was in the 40s.

Tesla Q2 2021 financial results

Tesla crushed it. I plan to hold Tesla til at least 2030 so I don't pay much attention to quarter over quarter stuff other than to see if Tesla is executing towards their master plan. But it's always good to see Tesla doing well.

But I want to point something out about Tesla P/E since people like @ultimatebob was making bid deal about Tesla P/E ratio like 8 months ago.

Amazon has a P/E ratio of 94 right now. Tesla has a P/E ratio of: 1,326.

But, hey... at least it's profitable. It could be worse, some of the stocks that are running up fast like Snowflake aren't even profitable yet.

I told ultimatebob that P/E ratio was the wrong metric to look at when evaluating growth stocks. I said Tesla P/E would come down in the future and that Amazon had even crazier P/E than Tesla at similar time/stage in its growth cycle. Well in span of 8 months, Tesla P/E has gone from 1,326 to now under 350. And P/E will continue to fall rapidly as Tesla keeps growing like crazy and as their growing operating leverage from rapidly increasing sales come into play.

I see the future as clear as day, and Tesla is being a juggernaut. They won't and can't be stopped, and Tesla will become the world's most valuable company. If not, they will be pretty damn close. I don't have a clue what Tesla stock will do short term but I know by 2030, Tesla stock will be much higher. Much Higher.

Listening to the Tesla conference call, it sounds like the chip shortage kicked their butt. They probably would have done even better if it wasn't for that.

They also seemed to be dodging the question on whether or not the Cybertruck will ship on time. I'm doubtful.

I finally decided to put in a limit order on my SAVA puts and they were pretty much immediately closed. It's going to be weird not following SAVA every day anymore.

But now I can really go shopping if I want to. Or "go selling", to be more accurate. I have a ton of room.

So throw those suggestions out there lol.

The market is in loonie mode at the moment. Nothing is making sense. Tempted to just withdraw and take time off for a while.

Yup. Outside of 401k and other retirement diversified index funds, I'm not playing with individual stocks right now. It's fucking bananas how much they have EVERYTHING valued at.

Friggin' Chipotle will not stop growing.

Looks like a long-term beast, along with Costco and Zebra.
Yup. Wish I held on to it longer.

Oh well, I'll just wait for another overhyped lettuce food poisoning kicks in and buy the sell off again

Like it or not, food poisoning or not the lines are always out the door.

I bought more Alibaba stock and option today. People are fleeing Chinese stocks out of fear right now but the way I look at it, Xi and China are not going to kill Alibaba. If they do, we're all in some deep shit at that point.

I know Charlie Munger bought Alibaba recently when Alibaba was higher.

Like Charlie, I'm a big China bull. China is going to dominate in the next 20 years. It's inevitable China will pass the US as the world's largest economy and US will fall behind to number 2. But number 2 isn't so bad. But I also want and need some exposure to the soon to be world's number 1 economy. And Alibaba will give me that exposure along with Xpeng and Tesla.

Key to happiness - figure out who you are and be that person. I'm not a patient guy. I never will be.

I've already filled up most of the room I created by buying back the SAVA puts. Sold puts on:

NIO
SKLZ
CRSR
BNGO

Dominos popped a few days ago. Man, the pandemic got their business booming.

Fun fact I worked there from 2015-2019.

You learn about "real estate" and get boots-on-the-ground training while doing such a job....and appreciate all the things in society you don't see if you worked more secluded jobs.

Bought shares of HOOD. I invest in disruptive companies. And Robinhood is disrupting finance. I opened Robinhood account and bought Doge coins to see for myself what the hype was about with Robinhood. And I was impressed. Their app is slick and the whole user experience is very well done. I can see why they're popular with the younger crowds.

China wouldn't "kill" Alibaba, but they could forcibly privatize it and eventually turn it into a state run company. The company will survive, but I wouldn't guarantee that your shares in the company will. That's the risk of buying any privately held company in a Communist country, I guess.
