yet another pack of lies.
You have to admit, it does show that Biden isn't serious about curbing inflation. Like I said, the rate hikes are more about scaring white collar workers back into the office among other things.

Unless, like me, it is in the employment agreement stating I am full time remote. You have to admit, it does show that Biden isn't serious about curbing inflation. Like I said, the rate hikes are more about scaring white collar workers back into the office among other things.
Reason for the rally is because the UN wants the Fed to stop raising rates. UN Heads must be mad about their investments going down.
I am not sure they will get their wish.
<-- Feeling quite proud for calling the market's late September local minimum way back in June.
This isn't the bottom. At least not until the Fed actually commits to saying they will cut rates, not just hope that they will.
The same exact thing happened back in July.
Online savings account just got bumped to 2.25%...moved back over a fat chunk of change that I had sitting in my brokerage account that I was waiting to dump into some indexes at the first sign of a rebound. Need to get that sweet, sweet interest.
Looked and one of the banks I'm using gives 2.75% 12-month, 2.99% 18-month, and 3.10% 24-month CDs. The 12-month one is tempting. Worst case scenario, I just borrow against it for a few bucks if I need to invest immediately (this is where talking to the banker not the teller comes in handy). I'll only do this if the stock market keeps increasing.shoot, i need to get money out of my stupid %0.1 savings account
The main argument against what you posted there is that triple dips are infrequent. You have the group of investors who thought the market was overvalued and sold from January to June. Then you have the second group of investors who realized too late and didn't want to sell low, so they held out and sold in August and Sept. Who makes up the third group that were asleep the last 10 months and suddenly decide to sell? It can happen. But double dips are by far the most common occurrence, not triple dips. This isn't the bottom. At least not until the Fed actually commits to saying they will cut rates, not just hope that they will.

Many other companies are instituting hiring freezes which slows turnover at Amazon.Ooh spicy rumor that Amazon is allegedly freezing corporate hiring in the retail business. This is huge because Amazon has such insanely high turnover that to just maintain headcount they have to constantly hire people. It's like layoffs without the severance packages.
