Maybe some hope that the Fed will be patient and wait before doing the big time hike.

If you could get moderately long dated 5+% CDs/Treasuries, that would look pretty attractive.
had a 3.5% 10yr cd that matured last year.
it was sweet.
only wished i put in more $

I had a dream something big in the market happened .. did not know if it was a crash or very big rally, but there was a lot of action and a lot of people were happy. Im guessing happiness means rally .. unless they were bears.

Unemployment numbers went down... guess Powell will have to get serious with the hikes at some point. Probably after the election.

For now, Triple Hike is still the heavy favorite for 13 days from now.

SNAP crackles, pops...to brand new 52 week low, down another 25%.

Even at $7.50 a share its still worth 10 billion dollars. It was once worth 83 billion dollars during the Fed bubble.

lol

There have been some epic meltdowns in this cycle, which is why I typically buy value, not growth. Growth doesn't last forever.
Take a look at GNRC, PLTR, RNG and of course GME. Fun charts on those

Wanna see a real ed: really bearish chart? I saw this chart of the S&P 500 earlier this month. I noticed how well-behaved it was between the early '80s and 1995. So I drew a line through that and extended it. Funny thing, after the two well-known bubbles, dot-com and housing, the Great Recession brought the S&P back to about that line.

What's next? Who can say? But the line I drew goes to about 1,200 today.

US futures are up at the moment so I guess markets at least in the US aren't scared by the dirty bomb danger from Russia. I thought we're just weeks away from WW3 as a result of Russia planning to set off a dirty bomb in Ukraine, but I may be wrong about that judging by current US futures.

Psst: growth (economic, stock market, population) etc. is much more of an exponential curve than linear. Try again with a realistic exponential fit.

Oh look MetaFace is crashing again on disappointing earnings, off 19%.

Will it pull a Snap Chat in the next few trading days?

I often kick myself for having bought bad stocks. I need to recognize the (lucky) occasions when I ended up not buying a stinker, that I came so close to buying. e.g. Facebook in June.

Trust me, you aren't the only one. We all bit into that sandwich.

Thankfully I've only been putting new money in averaging down. The older bigger balance has been in cash for months now.
