You should read some of the past threads.

It's fun to buy stuff for people based on what they like/dislike, going by signup provided info and looking at their threads.

Trying to get the perfect gift is a challenge, but it's rewarding when the person is happy with their gift and posts their thanks. Plus, the threads are always a good read and seeing what (sometimes random and funny) stuff people got.

I got some pretty cool and useful stuff over the years, even some things I wouldn't have thought to buy for myself, but I'm glad I received. It's cliche, but it's always more fun for me to give than to receive, though, as I get a kick out of shopping for others on a budget.

Ah I see. I guess I would rather spend that extra $20-30 on someone in my family I perhaps don't currently buy a present for, not some stranger on the internet. To each their own though. I guess you have to care about strangers more than I do, which is not at all. Good luck.

There is no "up to" amount. If you're into this for the "getting" part, I'd recommend you don't participate.
